Windows 8 asks for my Live login details when I login - I'd prefer to use a local password separate from my Live password. Is it possible to use a local password? What do I lose out on if I don't use a Live account password?

debian releases used to be so uncommon you didn't ;p

/me wonders how much throw this projector needs

ubuntu has a stable release cycle

and well.. ubuntu has been splitting off with debian, its good in a way (someone's gotta test the new crap) but occationally there's issues

there are more things wrong about ubuntu other than upstart

if you can work out how to use it. And no one on SF managed to. In the end, local ~~lug~~ ubuntu mailing list helped me solve the issue

Hm.. does anyone know of a (cheap/home?) router that can easily throttle/QoS by LAN port?
