@curiousdannii When I was still in college I used to worry which denomination is the true one? I remember one friend from my university Christian fellowship said diversity is good. Now I agree with him: every church is fallible to a certain extent. Not only that, even the BIBLE TEXT itself is not perfect either (see my question). Maybe providentially God wants to tell us to trust Jesus alone, not a church, not a Bible committee?

That way we better recognize the goodness of having diversity within the ONE body of Christ and each church does their own theological triage to prioritize the "catholicity" of all major mainstream denominations, STILL having an identifiable core to distinguish all of us from groups farther than the center, such as Unitarian, JW, and LDS.

@GratefulDisciple It's also so that as iron sharpens iron we can keep uncovering truth together.
The problem is when denominations get calcified and can no longer keep reforming. Which has happened on both sides of the reformation ;)

Q: on God's Omnibenevolence

Pyrotechn1csI am wondering what people mean by God having omnibenevolence. I see it having a couple meanings; one being God loves all, which I agree with. Another one is if God is all good, which obviously He is. He created the morality and is above it. He decides what is good and what is bad. Or people good...
