@SmokeDetector tpu- This domain has a history of such unnecessary pretextual links on keywords, including one from this same user who has no other posts. Additionally, the link really adds nothing to the post. (custom flagged)
If I'm right, it qualifies for blacklisting, but I'm definitely in the minority on my feedback there. I've left comments explaining why each post is likely spam.
If anyone wants to give a second opinion, that'd be good.
@RyanM All 6 currently alive posts follow a very similar pattern that the history indicates. Individually, they may seem slightly sketchy but otherwise fine. In concert with each other? I'm with you, this is a spam campaign.
It seems to be relatively manual on the spammers' parts, though, in that they'll even leave comments, which is interesting.
also I only custom flagged the two SO ones, I set a reminder in a couple days to sweep out the rest once MS has a working SSL cert if they're still there

Would someone be willing to hopping over to a test room of mine to test a small change I made to watches? It's simply a check for whether the watch string begins or ends with whitespace.
The MS SSL certificate expired. If you want to view MS pages and use userscripts, you'll need to have an exception in your browser for the expired certificate.
users there are separated from SE chat and wouldn't necessarily see it pinned here if they go to the main room SD or some MS-reporting bot lives in there
So I've made a change that detects and rejects whitespace at the beginning of a watch, but I also know that we have a check for invisible whitespace. My change initially just added another potential rejection reason if the proposed pattern starts with a space (" "), but I'm wondering if I should merge these two instead (as somewhat discussed in the discussion on the linked PR). Any advice?
A mod closed and deleted it very quickly after the report. It appeared to be blatantly off-topic anyway, and mods on MSE nuke those posts relatively quickly.
MSE gets a lot of blatantly off-topic questions, being the central Meta site.
@10Rep The report here was a self-answer, and seemed to be just an NAA as the OP is still trying to figure out how to diagnose their code. That site seems legitimate, and the user is (probably?) unaffiliated.
It's pretty much only useful for Charcoal, but also Charcoal's services are pretty valuable to the network. I wonder if that would be enough to convince SE to consider it (...eventually)
It would also help moderators get an idea of stuff that happens off of the site they moderate by potentially problematic users that they're familiar with. There's a use case there, too.
