@cigien I don't know if you did, or not, but it's usually a good idea to also link to a record of the posts on MS (e.g. a domain, user(s), search without using regex, posts, etc.). The SE search won't show deleted posts, so will show less and less of a problem as the posts are deleted.

@Makyen No, I didn't link to any MS records, though I could have done that for the domain in this case. I'll make sure to do that from now on. I assume you're handling the SO profile? There's only 2 posts on AU, so it may not seem like as much of an issue there. Should I raise another flag there linking to the domain?

@cigien Nope, not me. Another moderator was on it. Our efforts overlapped (a fairly common occurrence, which I find a bit frustrating, due to multiple people unintentionally spending time/effort on the same thing). If it was me, I'd probably retract my flag and re-raise one which links to MS, perhaps in addition to an SE search, if desired. A link the the SE search won't really show much of an issue at this point.

@Makyen Hmm, that is frustrating. As it happens, I had raised another flag on SO (as yet unhandled), not realizing I should have retracted and reflagged the first one, so I've probably caused a little more duplicated effort than would have happened otherwise. Anyway, I've retracted and reflagged on both sites, with links to the domain on MS.

@cigien It's not your fault. Unfortunately, there really isn't a good way available for moderators to coordinate such that they aren't working on the same thing at the same time. There is some information available that a moderator may have previously looked at a flag, but there's nothing which helps with current activity.
It's routine for me to be working the flag queue and find out that a large portion of the actions which I took didn't actually happen, because some other moderator was also working that list of flags and handled a significant portion of the ones which I thought I handled (i.e. their action was somewhat prior to mine). I fully expect that happens the other way around too, but it's not something which I can really check, other than by asking the other mods (i.e. it's hard to see a non-action).
From my experience it's something which happens multiple times a day. Unfortunately, it significantly reduces my motivation.
