@tripleee it is ICQ. Really use watch-number?

yeah, it does useful normalizations for common obfuscations

@VictorVosMottor That post is not matched, because regexes on the watchlist are bookended with \b, as noted on the Commands page. The transition between a space and an @ symbol is not a word boundary, so it doesn't match that. The search I linked demonstrates what it would match.

ok, sorry

you could do something like deckon(?<=@deckon) as a workaround, which does match that post
Unfortunately, the comment from metasmoke on GitHub is fairly misleading, because it doesn't apply the bookending when it searches. The link in the comment does, but it also only searches post bodies.

A: What are the “spam” and “rude or abusive” (offensive) flags, and how do they work?

KipNote for moderators: some sites, including Stack Overflow, have more permissive, overriding guidance on the handling of these flags. What makes something spam and when should I flag it? A post should be marked as spam only if it advertises a product, service, or similar and is unsolicited or lack...

@SmokeDetector I don't know how to differentiate these between spam + misguided

12:04 PM
I certainly don't envy the mods & reviewers on web-related stacks for the "I have an actual problem with my spammy site"

fp feedback received

the part that tipped me to TP on that one was "Although I Don't seem to have this issue on my website"

My usual rule is "once is misguided, twice is spam"
so it's a very grudging FP from me for now

that's fair; perhaps they do have Google-related question; I'm willing to adjust my feedback

I'm on the fence as well but not going back now

I retracted mine for now. It's maybe on the spammy side of the fence.

I don't think it was hard spam (he has a couple of decent Wordpress questions) but if you'd mod flagged I would have deleted it so it would fall into TPU

Thanks for weighing in. I was a bit scared we had just nuked an honest question :(

@Spevacus If it were on WP.SE or Webmasters I would say it's FP (where mods there are far less likely to sustain a simple "here's my website [link]" flag)

While we're on the topic of things that might be spam, is this spam? metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/269908 It's different than the other spam for that very spammy domain.

@VictorVosMottor to me, it seem more like a confused user than someone intending to post spam.

@RyanM It's spam. Two things pushed me over the edge. First, the domain history is horrible. Second, he has Google Analytics tracking on the link

It's also SEO rich text keywording, which can be another indicator. Most innocent links are bare links to a page

@Makyen By the way, this new format is noticeably slower; the regex engine in MS search really doesn't seem to like alternation. In my copy, I've replaced the const searchTerm = ... line with this to get better performance:
var searchTerm;
if (text.includes("^") || text.includes("$")) {
    /* Only use slower bookending on matches including ^ or $, as the faster bookending is fine otherwise */
    searchTerm = encodeURIComponent(`(?:^|\\b)(?s:${text})(?:$|\\b)`);
} else {
    searchTerm = encodeURIComponent(`\\b(?s:${text})\\b`);
}

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in body (1): Best Violin Reviews And Buying Guide? by RobertRoth on meta.SE

@VictorVosMottor Running an official instance requires explicit permission from the admins. SmokeDetector runners are given the Runner role on metasmoke, which grants access to a dashboard you'd use to create a MS integration token. Runners are also room owners of Charcoal, and members of the private Keybase team we use to communicate credentials and other secure information.

4:17 PM
Because of the access to sensitive information, runner privileges are given out very judiciously. You'd have to ask the admins to be certain, but most requests for runner privileges have been denied of late, because we don't currently have a need for more people running instances (and if we did, we have a number of existing runners who could launch additional instances)

@NobodyNada ok, can i use it as "unofficial" instance ?

@RyanM Probably what needs to happen is that the post should be escalated to the Community Team, who should report it to HHS or somebody
and in any case, that type of personal crisis is really not a good fit for a Q&A site -- of course there can be legitimate questions about that sort of thing, but it's clear that this post is more of an individual request for help than a normal Q&A reference question
So I raised a custom flag, not very eloquent but it should get the point across
> I don't know the norms of Parenting.SE, but this user likely needs more personal support than this site is equipped to provide, and the situation might need escalation to the Community Team and/or relevant organizations/government services
