@rene I don't know what's up with the text search. I find that I have to tick the regex box to get any sort of meaningful results.

@Mast Thanks for your watch request. I would change the regex to Peregrine\s*Treks\s*and\s*Tours. The * means “ Matches between zero and unlimited times”. @rene In order to obfuscate the domain, the spammer entered it in the Markdown with the Unicode character VARIATION SELECTOR-1 between each character. These VARIATION SELECTOR-1 characters get translated to the percent encoded values you see on MS when SE converts the Markdown to HTML. When displaying the HTML, the characters have no effect. When going to the URL (i.e. clicking on the link) the characters are stripped.
If you look on SE at the Markdown, the href in the HTML, or the display text for the URL in the HTML, you will see that the characters exist, but they aren't displayed by the browser (i.e. you have to actually inspect the page HTML, or copy the Markdown into something that displays all Unicode characters).
@Mast The user that posted that is known for posting answers which are completely plagiarized on bountied questions. Their plagiarism doesn't have a pattern to promote any particular site. It's just what they find and think is relevant to the bountied question.
@PeterJ @Mast My experience is that Electrical Engineering moderators/queue have a messed up idea about what's NAA. That answer is a good example. It's very clearly NAA and should be straight deleted. It will have no value to the site once the links die.
@Makyen Thus, the likelihood that something in the post will be something we need to watch is fairly low.

@Makyen ah, I should have looked a bit further. I assumed it was a grace edit or so. Thanks!

np

@Makyen You don't happen to have a shortlist of sites that handle certain things oddly?
I'd heard of Wordpress having different ideas about certain posts, now Electrical, there are probably more.

3:46 PM
@Mast Unfortunately, not. I/we really should be keeping a list, as there are a variety of sites that handle some flags in an unusual manner.
Fortunately, most sites are fairly consistent with spam flags. Although, from the POV of the user, they can vary a bit with the handling of undisclosed affiliation. But, then, my opinion on undisclosed affiliation is that there should almost always be at least one custom mod-flag raised explaining what the undisclosed affiliation is, as it's often/usually not trivial to see (i.e. if the situation isn't obvious raise a custom mod-flag and explain).

@Makyen FYI: You didn’t follow the format when adding links to me and Robert’s profiles in your wiki commit, all the other links are to the users network accounts but you added a link to our user profile on our chat parent site
