@user12986714 What indications do you have that this is spam?

@Makyen Very old question with multiple upvoted answers, multiple links to a single channel, recent video, low view, low subscription, new user

@user12986714 Next time, if it may be unclear to others why you're reporting a post, consider using the optional reason parameter (!!/report [post link] "reason in quotes")
@NobodyNada Would you have any objection if I moved the recent username used on Meta.SE from the watch list to the blacklist?

1:25 AM
@gparyani none at all

@user12986714 I'm not saying it's not spam, but at 97 subscribers, 2.8k views (on one of the two videos) and 3+ months since posting that video, puts it beyond where I feel it's reasonable to say definitively "this is spam". It's definitely NAA, and likely spam, but not definitely spam, IMO.

@user12986714 If that was the only one included, or even better, the only one in the channel, I'd be much more likely to agree with "this is spam". It's just that with more videos that have existed for longer, more subscribers, etc. it starts being significantly more likely that there might be someone that just happens to be a fan of the channel.

No problem, too many conversations at the same time. That comment is a reply to SmokeDetector, which (in my case) gets posted at the link in my prior comment; another user also questioned the history, suggesting that other contributions elsewhere were positive. --- I see you've added a comment, that is helpful. @Makyen Oh, thank you. Ordinarily regex can be quite picky about that.

[ SmokeDetector ] Blacklists reloaded at rev a5e0362 (SmokeDetector: Auto watch of mariamd\.com by tripleee) (running on teward/Osiris)

@tripleee Naturally, but I don't understand how changing the case is going to help with that. I can understand putting the proper domain in it for a blacklisted-website and a space between them for blacklisted-user. But what about the casing?
Oh, I just realized not all blacklists may be case-insensitive.
> The regexes for the keyword-blacklist and watchlist have \b prepended and appended to them prior to testing against post bodies, titles, and usernames. For both of those lists, the i and s flags are set (case insensitive and . matches anything).
That's only 2 lists.
So for the watchlist it doesn't matter, but should they be moved to the real blacklists eventually they'd have to be made more specific.

yeah, depends on whether you expect the watch to graduate to a general blacklisted keyword or just a username
I was sort of assuming the latter but for a keyword, we do want to catch variations in capitalization

It would make sense to blacklist both the user and the website, I think. Which requires 2 different regex.

@tripleee out of curiosity, what did you mean by "ML report" here?
