@ArtOfCode I need help deciding, what do you think?

Makyen/EC2-linux: Executing automatic scheduled reboot.

I found Wiki not as much of a community as SE is, somehow
that'd decide it for me

@Daniil What are you seeing that's turning you off SE, or not seeing that you feel is missing? Is there something about Wikipedia which will have/not have what you want, or are you just looking around?

!!/watch- davidmillerper(?:@gmail\.com)?

user435118
@Makyen I don’t feel like I am making much of a difference in terms of my contributions to SE so I’m looking around for other options.

1:29 AM
iBug/Coral: Executing automatic scheduled reboot.

@Daniil OK. My impression was that you were answering lots of questions on multiple sites. Each answer helps at least the question OP and is there to help future readers. You're a moderator on Drones and Model Aircraft, which should always be considered making a difference, unless you're choosing not to do anything. You're active here in Charcoal. You definitely make a difference here. Your activity in SOCVR makes it clear you're making a difference on SO. It looks to me like you're making a difference.

user435118
@Makyen Sorry that I’ve been moaning, I’ve been quite depressed lately. I can’t really agree with most of those points. There’s not really much moderation work to do on Drones and the site would pretty much be in the same shape without me. wrt. Charcoal kind of, I guess. And in SOCVR, it wouldn’t really cause too much harm if I didn’t request to close the Q’s that I did.

1:54 AM
@Daniil I'm sorry to hear that you've been depressed. Is there a specific cause?
As to making a difference, have you stopped answering questions? Answering questions can be a big part of feeling you're making a difference. If you've reduce the number that you answer, maybe you should spend a bit more time answering. A lot of us got involved with SE because we like helping people. The most immediate reward from that commonly comes from answering questions.
Even though the moderation work helps lots of people, it really doesn't have much feedback, so can feel like it's not helping that much.
Your activity here in Charcoal HQ is definitely making a difference. I know some things may be taking longer than desirable, a number of which are pending action on my part, but you're definitely making a difference here.
Closing questions on SO is a never ending task. It can feel like you're not making progress, but you are.

user435118
@Makyen I don’t want to talk about it. wrt. to answering questions, I have but it feels like there’s no point.

@Daniil I haven't looked at your answers, so can't talk about specifics, but answers on Stack Overflow can often get little or no attention or votes, particularly in some tags. That can be a big difference between SO and other SE sites. IME, people tend to be less free with upvotes on SO, which can be quite discouraging.

@JeffSchaller Maybe you're right. The Charcoal page specifically labels "delete me delete me..." as not spam, though that is a clear example of vandalism. I'm used to "spam" meaning "any unwarranted junk" or "repeated content", from daily speech. Also; this user posted almost the same answers, with what looked to be SEO text, and a link.

What do people think about those posts as "Abusive"? I flagged them as NAA personally. But I could consider abusive.

Accidental matching with the {0,12} there?

Yeah, I was surprised it only got hit with the "Potential bad keyword in body" reason

Maybe we should move some of those patterns into a separate list, keeping the same detection reason. Doing so would prevent masking the more specific entries.
@IanCampbell Yeah, the issue, at least for me, was that the entry which is specific to that spammer is shadowed/masked by the earlier pattern match. Thus, the why data doesn't show the detection that's specific to the spammer.
