@Machavity Following your spam report in SOCVR, would this answer also be classed as spam? And what's the user's affiliation?

@MichaelDodd I think there's a clear pattern there

@double-beep @Das_Geek I think this report needs to be TP. There's a pattern of that username suggesting that tool

@Das_Geek Invalidating your own doesn't count IIRC

It still added it as invalidated when I view my feedback

Technically yes. I think it was @Makyen who said that isn't figured into invalidation stats tho. Can't be sure

@Machavity Ah fair enough

@Machavity The last that I recall reading, clearing/invalidating your own feedback wasn't supposed to count in your invalidation stat. However, the system does count them in the numbers shown to the user. Thus, I'm not sure about that at this point.
In other words, I'm not sure it's implemented in the manner which I was given to understand was supposed to be the case.

@SmokeDetector I agree that is a false positive. The user is asking about some spam that they found, and by necessity they included a small amount of text; triggering the detection. I withdrew my spam flag on the site and added an X on MS.

@Machavity I freely admit I'm behind the curve on cutting-edge spam techniques, but some of the SO questions verge on "I have this $LANGUAGE website and when I do this silly thing I get (these spammy links) as output"

@JeffSchaller Yeah, there's a certain amount of near-spam we have to deal with on SO. Thankfully we have a spot-on closure reason
