@SmokeDetector @ArtOfCode You sure fascis[tm]s? should be in the same category as the other words in that reason? There appear to be a couple/few hundred posts just on politics using those words. Unfortunately, SE search isn't working at the moment, so it's not easy to search all of SE. I'd be more inclined to go with a watch on that, at least at first. My issue is a primarily a lack of data, combined with indications that there are demonstrated legitimate uses.

@GGMG My problem with using that post as an example of something SmokeDetector should catch is that a site moderator has clearly indicated they feel the correct action is for the question to be closed and remain on the site as a duplicate, without editing out any particular wording. In the vast majority of cases we bow to what the moderators on a site desire. Overall, that would indicate the post is not something which should be flagged by us (potentially a custom flag, but not red flags).
Seeing the post does help us with having more data in the spectrum of things to be detected/flagged vs not detected and/or not flagged.
Basically, Charcoal isn't here to override what moderators want on their sites. We can discuss things with them and attempt to convince them of certain positions, but ultimately it's up to them to make decisions for their site within the framework which is communicated by the CMs and Stack Exchange.
Note: I'm not personally arguing either way as to the acceptability of the post. I'm merely trying to get a feel for what the moderators on the site want done and a feel for the things you're wanting us to help with.

The problem is resulting in MS not identifying any new domains which are in posts (i.e. new domains are not listed under "Contains domains:" on post pages, but exiting domains are listed). This is an understandable consequence of the creation of the domain failing.
Note: I only identified the problem when trying to test a change I made to the same file, but having to do with getting the domain's IP address, which is used to determine the ASN for new domains.
Hi! I just learned about SmokeDetector. It sounds great! Is it allowed to ping me on any chatroom, or does it have to be a room where the bot is currently/usually in?
Also, is there any way to ask it to join a given room? Or does the bot only work in the rooms listed in the wiki?

@Glorfindel Am I right in guessing that for !!/notify to work, I have to actually be in one of the chatrooms the bot is usually in (like this one, Charcoal HQ)? I.e. I cannot tell the bot to notify me in some other room (like La Tertulia)

The main problem with this feature is that once we switch to another Smokey instance, the notification requests aren't carried over. So you'll have to !!/notify again.
@Glorfindel thanks for replying despite being busy. I just discovered this bot so I am not familiar with the commands, maybe that !!/standby somebody issued a bit before my test post was the reason it didn't work.
