@angussidney That one will have about an order of magnitude reduction in compute cycles consumed if you actually search for \b\w*tpoint\.com\b, which is what the watch is. If you have the \b at the start, then the regex engine only tests once against the entire string of \w characters. If you don't have the \b, then it tests the full regex starting at every single \w character.

np. Fixing the starting point of the regex to as few points in the string as possible is often the easiest change that provides the largest performance improvement for a regex.

it was nuked as spam, and I'm guessing it was reported because it seems like an attempt to advertise the site rather than asking an actual question.

Yeah, OK, I guess it's spamming their site. I didn't really realize they were linking to themselves. I thought they were just asking for help. TP it is then, thanks.

@EriktheOutgolfer Yeah, but internally each review task gets an ID, so it should be possible to make the link dynamic to hold that info.

It would be really great if we could filter by site. I skip a lot of posts because I don't really know enough about the subject to judge. I would love to be able to limit the review queue to the sites I am familiar with or moderate.

@terdon That's sitting in an issue already. Hopefully one of us will get to it, but MS development has been slow recently because folks have lotsa real life stuff.

@EriktheOutgolfer Sure. I haven't reviewed a single post from a site I am really familiar with yet. However, I have skipped quite a few because my eyes glazed over while reading them. So being able to limit by site would greatly increase my efficiency and also the number of posts I can review before getting tired.
@thesecretmaster Ah, cool.
Cool that there's an issue, I mean :)

@terdon Metasmoke is in ruby, and review is a part of metasmoke. SmokeDetector is python.
(metasmoke is the website, smokedetector is the chat bot)

OK. So if I were to try to implement the filter, I'd need ruby. Crap.

Yeah, and review filters would be a bit challenging to implement since the way review works follows a ruby pattern that is a little tough to understand if you haven't seen it before.
But hopefully one of us (me, art, or undo) will get to it soon-ish.

@terdon To answer this specific question: NAA was not available as a feedback option, because the post was a question, not an answer. I agree that it's TP. While it might be intended as an actual question, it seems much more likely, given the post title, post content, and purported type of website linked that the post's main intent was to advertise their "best android course for beginers [sic]" site.

@Makyen Duh, sorry I hadn't realized it was a question. And yes, it was indeed spam, I realized that when I looked at the link more closely. Thanks.

4:28 PM
np. MS doesn't really make it clear that a post is a question or an answer. While the information can be seen from what's provided, it's something you have to look for (e.g. detection reasons saying "in body" (question) vs. "in answer"; other detection reasons explicitly stating answer/question; the link to the post on the site; etc.), rather than being obvious.

@Makyen well, yeah, also the absence of a naa button doesn't really make it clear the post is a question

It is, unfortunately, easy to not know if something is a question or answer on MS. I recall many times wondering which it is and looking at the information I mentioned above to determine if it's an answer or question. The NAA button is also a good indicator, but there are times when it's presence or absence is not something I regularly trust. That may be a failing on my part, or just that I'm looking for confirmation.

how are my spam flags pending? They were supposed to be marked helpful after the posts were deleted.

@double-beep Another time, this would be better as a comment when reporting it. You can add a comment to the !!/report by enclosing it in " after the URL(s). This provides people reviewing it with more context.

@Makyen gotcha

@double-beep In addition, you can make such after-the-post comments as actual replies to the SD report. That way they show up as comments on the MS post. Again, that's so people reviewing it have more context. For things you are !!/reporting, the "" comment in the !!/report is probably best, as it is included in the why data, which is a bit more accessible than MS post comments.

!!/bisect geeksforgeeks.com

@double-beep 'geeksforgeeks.com' is not caught by a blacklist or watchlist item.

@double-beep BTW: The alpha Request Generator has as one of it's request types !!/report. The request reason is included as a !!/report "" comment. You can enable the SD request types, and have them always directed to Charcoal HQ, from the Request Generator's options.

6:34 PM
@Makyen since I am not priv'd in SOCVR, I cannot send !!/report there
now you will say me:
> you can change the target room
however, I cannot send sd commands, then.

@SmokeDetector I don't think this should get a tp feedback, as you can see in the comments of the post, the user doesn't have any spammy intentions

@double-beep That's why there's an "Always send SD actions to Charcoal HQ." option. Setting that will result in the SD commands being posted here in CHQ, while requests such as cv-pls will go to the room you've selected through the main room selection interface (default SOCVR on SO).
