[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Few unique characters in body (93): Distribution function of random continued fractions ✏️ by Next on math.SE (@FrenzyLi)

@Rob NAA could work on-site, and clearly someone already flagged them as such (note comments "from review"). I'm a little hesitant at flagging R/A on-site, as it's not clear in isolation that they are abusing the system, although, IMO, they clearly are intentionally doing so (even if they are doing what you say). A custom mod-flag might be more appropriate, as that allows you to explain.

Rob
12:18 AM
Yes, it's been 4 hours and they've not followed up with additional pearls of wisdom. If the next line is "use dictionary!" that would just cross the line (though written politely, it's combined with nuisance behavior). I think my feedback here would be "naa-" but I'll wait until I'm fully awake before affecting our stats.

For feedback here, I'm comfortable with this being blocked on a system level, so TP. I don't really see any question on which that content would be valid, particularly with the obvious effort to get around the minimum length filter.

Rob
Ah, ML filter ... They were caught by their other error which we won't discuss. By all means feedback as you feel best. I'll abstain until I'm awake. :)

@iBug the report on user "Amy G. Taylor on apple.SE" {MS} shown 3 blocks above has her blacklisted for a previous post that was spammy enough but the current post isn't sufficiently spammy - so should be "fp-" - but it's about the same software, with no links this time, (so it's sort-of promotional). Marking it "fp-" removes the blacklisting (which I don't want) but marking it "spam" is too strong. Question: Should it simply be
"tp-" ?

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in body (1): A Problem About Relay by 928928 on mechanics.SE

@Rob I'm uncertain about the post. I've read it and it looks like it's intended as a spam seed, but that's not clear. I've custom mod-flagged giving them a heads-up. I've also scheduled a revisit for myself to the question in 24 hours to check for an edit or answer that makes it more clear if it's a poor question, or really just a spam seed.
If I was giving feedback now, I'd probably mark it as fp, as it's not clear to me that there should be a system level block. After giving that feedback, I'd probably add the user back on the blacklist with !!/addblu, as I'd still like to see their next post.

@Rob I personally takes posts from users with previous spam records more seriously (higher tendency to say TP), so I'd say it's spam (attempt).

Rob
@Makyen Yes, great solution. "fp-" and then add them back in manually. Thanks, that is why I asked, wisdom of the Sage.
And, opposite suggestion ...

3:22 AM
I saw fonedog.com on their previous post (for which they're blacklisted) and FoneDog on the post you're wondering about, that's pretty much a strong signal to me.

Rob
Yes, it looks like they are trying to get un-blacklisted by continuing the same behavior in a milder form. That's what was making me grit my teeth.

IMO, repeated appearance of the same keyword is usually sufficient, though special cases may exist. In this case, it's FoneDog.

Rob
Well, I think we have two votes for "spam" but I do appreciate you taking the time to look and offering your advice Makyen. It's very much a seed as it obligates the answerer (and they might answer their own question) to use the software or be knowledgeable about it and explain how they can (easily) use it to accomplish the task.

@Zoe Reason #1, or more applicable reason #2 - there's a FAQ on Meta titled Roomba which supports you asking your question. You could ask on Meta about the particular question and probably receive the correct answer shortly thereafter.
