@tripleee #exam-passes contains sites to help passing certification exams, but I feel the "passing" term may be ambiguous.

thanks, could you edit the tag's description to help define it better? or shall I give it a try?

they're fake exam certificates
@tripleee Undo said you're good at evaluating pros and cons about using an SQLite3 DB vs pickles.

8:38 AM
Use #fake-exam-certificates for fake exam certificate providers. For sites containing practice or tips to pass exams, consider #exam-practice or #exam-tips.

@TetsuyaYamamoto maybe #fake-documents?

@iBug hmmm, not so sure (-: but I'm skeptical of the value of making the thing more complex for what seems like limited benefits
@iBug we have something like that for fake drivers licenses, passports etc

@tripleee yep, so exam certs are just another category of documents

I'm also shooting for grouping similar spam; these seem to be by and large different from some of the others
in the worst case we need to have granular tags for spammers we have no other way to identify, so #spammer12345 then?
ideally, you should be able to download all the spam in a tag, train a machine learning thing, and have it identify them at high accuracy

@tripleee I don't really think it's more complex - in Android there's an intensive use of SQLite3 (yes, exactly this one) for random stuff, and there are a lot of 24 KiB or even smaller .db files

8:43 AM
many of the tags obviously have quite a lot of variation in them but the search I linked above seems fairly similar throughout
@iBug sounds like they too use DBM as a back end then, but do we really need SQL here?
hmmm maybe it's their own format sqlite.org/fileformat.html

@tripleee I somewhat dislike loading and dumping them as a whole when they're all discrete data (i.e. sets and dicts). A whole load of SQL isn't really necessary since it's (currently) just a replacement for the pickles, but that opens the potential to expand

sqlite.org/aff_short.html looks pretty solid

Currently when we want to add something else, e.g. blacklisted users that have been removed, there's some work to do. With SQLite3, it's just a new table

separate pickles would accomplish that too, wouldn't it?

also as I said, SQLite is more resilient against disasters than pickles - we just delete the latter whenever pickle.PickleError happens
@tripleee yeah, but still we're dumping complete "tables" when adding/removing

8:50 AM
Are we already have tags for #consultants, such like promotion of IT consultants, document consultants, health consultants, etc?

Unfortunately, the links to the searches are each too long for a chat message. Some of the TP will already be covered by other detections, as there are ones that look for "courses?". I should note that it would be better to have a separate detection that is keywords within X characters of a phone number, email address, or link, because the regexes are significantly less complex, and the detections both more accurate and less resource intensive, if the link, etc. detections are done separately.
