Deus is one of the smartest people on the planet, what do you expect?

@Mithrandir Right then, back to the site list :) I'm going down to make accounts on sites I haven't got yet.

@Glorfindel For some reason I saw query and thought It was a script that just added you automatically, I guess you have to do something things yourself
You make a lot of scripts by the way :)

JAD
I think it's mostly saving everything you make and being able to adapt them

@Glorfindel Thanks for this. I now got myself rate limited because I made so many accounts :o Lmao!

I should have an account everywhere now :) @Glorfindel thanks that sped it up so much

and just like that, I turn on my VPN, I just got my account everywhere as well.
if only this were applied to one account:

@WELZ Some solid rep there :P

@WELZ I didn't have to add as many as that wow,
@Mithrandir theres elections on puzzling in a couple of hours, can I vote in them or do I need more rep to do that?

5:15 PM
you need 150 usually

JAD
@JakeSymons would you know any of the candidates?

@JakeSymons What?
There are no elections coming up that I know of on Puzzling...

I didn't see anything on Meta

@Mithrandir Might have been codecolf
yep it was, when you have an account on every site, :) soz

JAD
5:17 PM
PPCG has elections
But I'd argue against voting on elections if you're not active on the site

You'll need 150 rep to cast a vote, and I'll caution not to vote unless you are familiar with site and/or the candidates.
...like JAD said.

That's why you're required to have 150. so that you can't just hop in from another site and sway the election

Ok, I think I'll leave the voting then if I can't even get the site right :)

JAD
Don't just do it for the silver badge

@JAD You get a badge?

5:18 PM
yep

...although Charcoal often does vote for their members by gaining rep via suggested edits, generally that's because Charcoalers are familiar with the network as a whole and the person who they've voting for.

Is Charcoalers a word?

@WELZ That one's bronze. I meant constituent

@JAD there's about a 75% chance there won't even be one

You going to run, @quart? ;)

no

JAD
5:20 PM
@quartata no candidates?

@JAD no, exactly 2

JAD
ah
who?

DJ and Mego

JAD
I'd vote for both
Hmm, I wish PPCG interested me more still

@Mithrandir true. we had a lot of candidates last time even though all 4 of our active pro-tems ran and there were 4 seats
this time though I suspect it won't play out like that

is someone leaving? or are they looking for a +2?

ppcg is a bloody nuisance to moderate, worse than SO
@JAD we don't know

@quartata lemme guess, lot's of rule lawyering?
I never really gotten to the moderation stage on PPCG

I'd guess with the amount of active users, most regular flags should sort themselves out, or no?

Well... depends on the types of flags.

yeah. most of the real flags have to be custom flags

@quartata I kinda doubt really that anything compares to SO...

@Mithrandir SO doesn't have fights over what's on-topic literally every week

JAD
I guess you have to take it in relation to the amount of traffic

5:28 PM
also remember when our room was getting chat flags almost every other day
we've gotten better
but
underlying problems are all still there and no one is really sure what they are

I was thinking more about comment flags. I don't know how many comments PPCG gets.

JAD
loads

the only time I ever flag comments is when someone posts a troll comment on a homework question

JAD
but it's not really an issue
answers in comments are almost 0

I know IPS is probably a nightmare comments-wise

JAD
5:30 PM
So you'd be delighted Catija :)

y'all could use a comments review queue or something
that'd be cool

JAD
oh definitely
And it's sorta kinda there with the auto removal if it's flagged enough
but that's not enough
@quartata also, Steward badge in like a week

We've deleted over 10K comments since the site started.

yup

6:59 PM
@JakeSymons I never run out; 1) I'm spreading my attention over different sites 2) once you hit 3k, you can vote to close questions instead of flagging them for closure.

@Glorfindel Yeah, when you have close votes and flags. Do you go round looking at every site for spam, or just on the realtime

@Glorfindel If I ever hit 3K on SO it will be a miracle.

@JakeSymons I just wait here for spam to come, and I review First Posts and Late Answers on ... counts ... 17 sites in the network. If you find one which isn't detected by Smokey, it feels really rewarding.
@Catija getting upvotes on SO is hard, compared to other sites.

@Glorfindel Yeah, I think I can report posts now here now I have privs, so I'm on the lookout now :)

Nice
Okay, my maths must be screwy somewhere

Every new ROW you add adds 4 pounds... so that's probably not helping... I haven't looked at your math, though.

7:28 PM
that's the shipping cost for each rest of world user

Right.
It's only 78 pence, so that's not a lot... is it possibly a rounding error?

Unlikely... I hope
rounding error seems like it would be more on the order of single-digit cents

yeah

aye, there was a rounding error, but only 1 cent

You need to update D26 with the price for the lower number of SObotics stickers?

7:33 PM
should be good
I think I've got it
it's the 1 cover
D39 and E47 are the same, so I think it's just the cover not being able to take the adjustment
yup, there it is

If you want to lower the shipping cost for the US, feel free... I'm confident that 50c/person is sufficient... also, I'm guessing it's not going to cost you 4 pounds to ship to fellow UK-ers?

@Catija will do. And no, it won't - £4 is actually just a rough estimate of the average cost, I need to actually look into real costs

@ArtOfCode Yeah, that's going to be difficult... I'm guessing that each country may have different costs, though I'd think/hope all of the EU would be about the same?

just looking at the real-time for 30 seconds is extremely overwhelming

@Catija probably, mostly. I'll just stick each one into the RM lookup and work out an average
@WELZ try watching Smokey's console ;)

@SmokeDetector Nice name, can anything be done about that

8:57 PM
@JakeSymons Yeah, one of the SO mods can change it.

@Catija What would that be changed back to, the original user1234 name

Yep.
Technically we can change names to anything we like but the usual action for a name that's offensive is to go to the default and the system facilitates this by if we delete the current username and leave the field blank, when it's saved, it goes to the default without us needing to figure out what the default would be.

@Catija great, I've got a long way to go to be able to do stuff like that
