@Mithrandir literally - in most things, * means 'everything'

aha, thanks
Okay, so all of them are showing as green.

No extra files that you don't want to commit?

Nope, doesn't look like it.

Next, run git commit -m "Your commit message here", or simply git commit if you want to edit the commit message in your test editor (edit, save, then close)
I recommend the git commit -m route

@angussidney cc @Mith careful - git add * may run into some issues with bash interpreting * in specific ways you don't want. Use git add -A to add everything.

10:02 AM
@ArtOfCode yeah, good point
Finally, git push --set-upstream origin master should push your changes to your own fork, providing that you originally cloned it from your own fork
(the --set-upstream option means that in future you can just run git push to do the same thing)

hmm, it's telling me something about run not being a valid command
> run: command not found

@Mithrandir I meant write the bit starting with git in your console, then run it, not copy run git .... then run that :)

ah

@Mithrandir The answer is obvious

oookkkaay, that's odd
I tried to push it upsteam and it appears to have worked now?
git status tells me it's clean

check it's there on GH

yeah, that's the thing - it doesn't appear to be

@Mithrandir try using your GH email instead of your username as the username; also check your password is right

Also, have you changed any network stuff e.g. added a proxy?

Umm... I'm not sure? My brother may have done something like that with a Rasberry Pi but I didn't think that touched me....

Try again maybe? I don't know why it would cut off after it just worked 2 minutes ago

regardless, it seems to be doing things (tm) now

Hi Martin, please see our rules on self-promotion, aka How to not be a spammer. Coming here to promote your product in every single one of many different posts is a breach of our promotion rules, and a sign you're not here for the right reasons -- you should instead reach out to the team for advertising or use community ads. — doppelgreener 14 secs ago
@Federico Included in our promotion policy is this line at the bottom:
> If the only reason you're here is to sell something or drive traffic to your site, then please avoid posting answers. Our advertising rates are quite reasonable; contact our ad sales team for details. We also offer free community promotion ads for open source projects and non-profit organizations.

@Mithrandir seems that some work is needed in teaching the difference between an url and asp.net, for example :D

Hmm. Needs some tuning. Stack Overflow automatically replaces Amazon links (it's got a referral program) so those links are going to register as misleading, and it picks up filenames as domains. Examples:
- Amazon: https://metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/95989
- Filename: https://metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/96047
- "ASP.NET": https://metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/95992
