^ @NobodyNada great, spam flagging works as well. I'm having some stability issues, especially when loading older posts, but otherwise it's looking great.
Oh, and (but that could be fixed in the current version, I haven't been able to test yet): when you reactivate the app after a couple of hours, it still displays the old posts and there's no way to refresh (except for killing the app and relaunch it).

@DavidPostill Seems like the person’s asking for help with their site, so not spam IMO.

NAA on benefit-of-doubt. First time we've seen that website being used in a post, and it does read like a code help question.

1:32 PM
@DavidPostill Well, it wasn't spam enough for me
Yeah, I'm with Art

What's up with the recipe in his code anyways?

@ArtOfCode Did you actually look at his code? He's trying to add "The best apple pie recipe you’ll ever try!" to a site selling cheap running shoes (in India).
In the same code "The revolution of shoes starts only when you feel comfortable. Check this manually researched pair of shoes."
Something doesn't add up.

@DavidPostill shrug and I run an API authentication service on a site that purports to be about the art of code. People do odd things. They're allowed to, as long as they're asking about the code and not trying to spam the product.

@ArtOfCode But he did spam the product (his site). There was a link (until it was edited out). [1]: <a href="http://bestshoesunder.in" rel="nofollow noreferrer">http://bestshoesunder.in</a>
And the answer is now deleted ... and my spam flag marked as helpful :)

@DavidPostill Oh, I didn't notice that one. I didn't scroll to the end. And yes, it is now deleted by Flexo
Should have been a spam flag, yes.

1:43 PM
@DavidPostill OK then, whatever

@DavidPostill I wouldn't call that spam - plenty of valid questions include a link to the relevant site for additional context, and that's okay
@DavidPostill paging @Undo on whether this was a spam-nuke or regular deletion

@ArtOfCode regular
as in Flexo didn't use his spam option

this is why I don't use C
memory leaks sound horrible to debug
and not fixing them kinda isn't an option

C++ gives you a lot of tools to make this not painful, and Valgrind is very helpful.

Yeah, I much prefer higher-level languages
@QPaysTaxes shrug I figure that's what I study computer architecture for

@QPaysTaxes makes sense
Fun fact: Objective-C used to use manual reference counting.

It... still does?

@QPaysTaxes On the other hand, you probably don't need to have it drilled into you... unless you program in C.

9:55 PM
We're talking about autorelease pools right

@quartata You can still make autorelease pools, but you used to have to call retain or release every time you gained or lost a reference to something.
@QPaysTaxes Of course, but Concaten itself doesn't

@QPaysTaxes shrug a basic understanding is nice, but yeah, not essential. And said basic understanding can usually be gained by reading docs/SO/designers' blogs, instead of putting myself through the torture of using C :)

same with Objective-C and Swift, which still use reference counting, but the compiler automatically inserts the retains and releases

@NobodyNada Huh, you're right. Looks like it was new in OS X.

@QPaysTaxes Sure, but the former is all you need for a basic understanding of your language

9:58 PM
Although I suppose Apple wouldn't list if it was in nextstep
