@JF would it be possible that the userscript also greys out a post that was fed back as vandalism and then got rolled back?

I was thinking: it would be nice if we could somehow detect vandalized posts being restored to their normal state, and be greyed out here.
@ByteCommander exactly my thoughts. The problem is that Smokey/MS only watch deletions, not edits.

We need a tor.se mod ...

Somebody is spamming the site with new accounts, look at the consecutive user IDs:
16373, ...74, ...75, ...76

I missed that. I've mod flagged but I assumed it was the same luser so my flag is not very clear. Can someone else also mod flag please?

1:57 PM
I flagged all four as abusive already.

Should be pretty clear. It's not like they have a lot to do at Tor.SE, and it's all on the same question.

2 gone, 2 more missin

tpu- by Glorfindel

I mod flagged the question regarding multiple userids

1:59 PM
Oh, that other question seems also to have some of those, but with a different uid range

also this one: tor.stackexchange.com/a/14111/15352 but went for NAA

Users 16364, ...66 and ...67
I wonder what they want to achieve with the PGP block and with the html snippet

Strange. Someone has protected both those questions but not cleaned up afterwards ... the abusive posts were posted before the questions were protected.

Protected by community - that means some other answers to those question have already been deleted (without our knowledge) and this is the second wave.

@Glorfindel Can protection be automatic then? I thought it required a suitably privileged user (I can protect questions on SU for example).

@DavidPostill yes, if 3 low-rep answers get deleted, Community protects it

@DavidPostill yes, it can. I have to go now, but I'm sure somebody can dig up the reference.

No, IIRC two red-flagged deleted posts make Community protect it
Or whatever exact conditions, but there is something

@ByteCommander two deleted answers IIRC, but not necessarily red-flagged.

2:07 PM
ok, whatever

Ok. Thx.

@Floern Why NAA? This is not a single post, but it's part of a bigger wave. Look at the user patterns. It's clearly abuse on a bigger range.

@ByteCommander unsure.. do we handle at the posts individually or do we look at the whole context?
on its own it's just NAA, but overall it's abusive, so..

I look at the whole context bigger picture (assuming there is one)

2:13 PM
Raised mod flag on the question.
> Below this question there are/were several answers with suspicious content (PGP block, HTML snippet, strange patterns, etc). It's noteworthy that all those posts are from users in a consecutive user ID range (16373, ...74, ...75, ...76) which all got registered today in a row and only for this purpose. Therefore I clearly consider them all together as abusive, even a single post of them alone might look harmless and just NAA.
Oh, there's an "if" missing in the last sentence... :-/
Now I have only 1 flag remaining...

Don't they count as abusive each alone even if harmless?

@JanDvorak touchy subject
some site mods disagree with shogs interpretation of using rude/abusive for sheer nonsense

it's a grey zone with many shades and differing opinions... some prefer naa, some prefer abusive.
in my understanding, something that makes no sense no matter how long you look at it and is not even a slightest attempt to answer the question or state anything else, related or not, is abusive.
If it makes sense somehow, but is not at all related to the question (give that it is not spam or offensive either), it's naa IMHO

@Magisch then those mods need educating (IMHO)

@DavidPostill Thats a touchy subject
better let art or undo deal with that
Mods dont like when non-mods tell them what to do and whatnot
generally speaking

2:29 PM
and vice versa

^point being
let undo or art handle talking to other mods if there's disagreement

@M.A.R. That's what I flagged as ... it doesn't attempt to answer the question and might as well be random cat typing ...

Also every time I see somebody posting totally unrelated and undocumented html/js snippets, I must think of it as an attempt to inject code into the site.
