I never expected "email in body" to score so many false positives, the most detection where users that just put the email in the body so people could mail them the answers, instead of using stackexchange for the answers, just like "signatures"

Yes, this reason has been retired a while ago.
I'm reviewing offensive... what to do with completely normal posts that have stuff like this at the end: ?
> <p>why the fuck my questions keeps getting closed ? this website is a fucking joke</p>

@Sally Would you red-flag it?
oh
vandalism
Yeah, I was going to ask about that

@Undo The root. Also the one in the reasons link, which is the same.

I think I would not abusive-flag that one. But it's borderline.

12:04 AM
I would red flag those, moderators can still punish the user for offensive language without deleting the post. And in smoke I usually don't mark the report

@Sally I almost want to add a "vandalism" button. Then we can track them seperately.

Okay, maybe it's vandalism = abuse of editing privilege (by the author)
Marking tp in metasmoke

Yeah. I wouldn't want it auto-flagged, but it is something we want to catch.
And autoflagging would have restraints in it anyway, so meh.

Autoflagging fails because SE has rude and spam buttons separate, while our better review system uses a single button

I think offensive reason would need to be out of scope of auto-flagging. A lot of grey area there.

12:06 AM
@Ferrybig They're really the same button
Shown differently in the flag queue, that's about it.
Both feed SpamRam.
Both give the penalty.
I think they contribute to the same 6-flag pool

So do I

$stmtx->execute();
die("FUCK PHP");

Attempt at retroactively tp/fping reports from a 'queue'-ish thing.
You need an account, but @Undo has to manually activate it. :P

@hichris123 ah is @Undo around?
so what do you do?

I don't believe so. So I guess you can create an account, but it'll have to wait for him to activate it.
@MsYvette you mean with the queue?

yes when you can see it

It's just adding feedback to Smokey reports that didn't receive any feedback.

ok and there's 3000ish?

1:38 AM
So there's a true positive button, an false positive button, and an NAA button for answers.

ah k

@MsYvette We're down to 300. :D

I think so.

no worries
when you said 266 psychologically I felt relieved and happy to help!

heh it's certainly much better than the close vote queue.

@MsYvette Just a sec
Done

can I ask, the last smokey report here, should that have been sd k? I edited out the abusive content from superuser and then unblacklisted the user.. bit it was abusive.. was this the correct call?
@Undo thanks

@Undo 503 metasmoke...
@MsYvette eh. don't worry about it, it was borderline.

1:51 AM
@MsYvette That's probably false. The litmus test is whether you'd spam/abusive flag it.

ok thanks .. Yes I actually sd ked the wrong post, I need to be more careful

@hichris123 Back.
That's definitely not a memory thing. I wonder if we're actually overloading Apache... although that sounds really unlikely

Looks like "Pattern-matching website in answer" is all we have left.

yeh I noticed that, now for me that's the hardest.. if it's a blacklisted website.. what's the best course? If it looks like an honest attempt at an answer, edit it out, else it's spam?

Pretty much.

1:57 AM
Unless it's filerepairforum or Long Path Tool. Those people never get the assume-good treatment.

ah you doing them, shall I start from the bottom?

@MsYvette nah, I'm leaving in a second. :)

is it correct to edit out the bl websites?

@MsYvette Um, why?

don't worry these questions will diminish soon enough, I take the SD privileges seriously

We're not reviewing the posts themselves, just classifying them as tp/fp in metasmoke

ok, so I have been misunderstanding the bl websites.. they are indicative of spam
ah k

2:17 AM
@MsYvette Some posts are made to look like an honest attempt at an answer... often by copying an actual answer from another user and adding a spam link.

@hichris123 Okay, I'm going to bulk-mark those as 'ambiguous'.
It'll screw with the stats a little bit, but that's okay if we're going to go with a 3-mo window default or something
And that plan fell through, when I looked closer we don't even have links for most of these.

So we're done; the only ones remaining are without any post text.

@Sally ah k
I am sure my judgement will improve with experience..

@ArtOfCode That's a weird error, usually CORS errors happen browser-side.

@Undo Nah, Rails is weird like that.
I do get the browser error message, but it sends the request anyway and Rails gives me 422.

huh
@ArtOfCode Try now.

A: Why is jquery's .ajax() method not sending my session cookie?

KangurI am operating in cross-domain scenario. During login remote server is returning Set-Cookie header along with Access-Control-Allow-Credentials set to true. The next ajax call to remote server should use this cookie. CORS's Access-Control-Allow-Credentials is there to allow cross-domain logging....

oh right, lemme give that a shot

Might need to set Access-Control-Allow-Credentials on my end, but see if it works

I assume I need to have the other fields in there as well?

8:56 PM
@ArtOfCode What other fields?

post Id, feedback

oh, yeah
Oh, no. The other fields go in a data hash, I think.

...eh? JS is weird...

Indeed

It's requesting from the current host rather than metasmoke... lemme fix that first
404. I'm guessing that's a product of the review controller denying it when there's existing feedback. Can we make that return 409 Conflict instead?

9:01 PM
@ArtOfCode Sure

That would again make my semantic brain happy.
Or just accept multiple feedbacks?

@ArtOfCode Not sure why we would

@Undo We do from chat

If they all agree, it's no additional signal. If they disagree, that muddies things and it'd be nice to make people do it from chat.
Although... maybe.

The thing to consider there is overrides in case someone's wrong

9:04 PM
True

I.E. the first person to feed back gets it wrong, and nobody else can override it without you going into the DB.
which... is not ideal

@ArtOfCode Always can override it through chat, but yes.

Perhaps it is time to implement privileged accounts... accept one feedback, but allow privileged users to override (from anywhere)

@ArtOfCode done
Maybe...

Yep, getting 409's

9:07 PM
here, let's just allow multiple feedbacks. Overriding can come later; that's a rare enough thing.
That also kills a SQL query, which isn't bad.

Woot performance

There, should accept duplicate feedbacks
And only complain if the post doesn't exist

I'll test that in just a moment...

We wouldn't have wanted that during the Great Review Marathon, of course.
But for now it works.

Meanwhile, that completes (at least for now) my Smokey Sidebar userscript.
