@michaelb958 I'm not sure if anyone else has pinged you about this, or if you got the email from GitHub, but we're trying to (re)license SmokeDetector and you're the last signature we need :)
The banner with fadeout also applies to questions. In a way this is helpful; I recall Jan Dvorak had to hack around the lack of realtime notification of deletion.
Wait a moment, does it mean there is a websocket signal "this post was deleted"? Is this something Smokey can use?
How to find out: keep a page with spam open and watch the traffic?
@Minestrone you have to look at the websocket thingy, which should show as 101 switching protocols or whatever the status code is for that. Then there should be a frame tab in there.
If they are sending this information anyway, the pink banner may just as well display the deletion-responsible user. Saving the trouble of writing a userscript for this.

That's the entry I was talking about with the h1 tag.
Nah, you could even do it manually. Create a locked_files dict, create a write_file method which checks if the file is in the lock list, wait if it is, write if it's not.
Couple of extra methods to lock and unlock (or just add straight to the dict) and you're golden.
