Any other opinions on adding single-letter aliases for the most common commands: K for tpu- and F for fp-? (discussion above)
!!/apiquota

@NormalHuman 7400

apiquota is already a global var, so comparing the previously stored value to the new one from the API is easy. Question is, should Smokey report that the queue rolled over (and how much was used) by a CHQ chat message or in some other way?

@NormalHuman I like it
@NormalHuman Not a bad idea. Might be interesting
I guess we can just post a message when the quota goes up between requests

Yes, that's what I thought. But the module in which it could be compared (bodyfetcher) doesn't import the chat-posting things, if I'm reading things correctly.
(I don't know if this is an issue.)

I don't see anything that would break if it did

4:09 AM
I haven't looked at chat comm things much... apparently, GlobalVars.charcoal_hq.send_message("message") is all that's needed.

Should work, yeah

Famous last words. I'll try that.

[ SmokeDetector ] SmokeDetector started at rev 003fb04 (Normal Human: report to CHQ about quota rolling over) (running on closet server)
API quota rolled over with -1 requests remaining.

Um

hahaha

4:20 AM
Because it's initialized to -1 when it restarts.

Ah, okay. So it won't do that again.

I'll fix it anyway. Much confusing.

if ... and GlobalVars.apiquota > 0 might make sense
yeah

>= 0

whatever :P
Oh, that would be important actually if it ran out of quota

4:23 AM
Oh noes, I typed >=0

@NormalHuman I really do feel like attempting to make Circle/someone auto-commit a fixing commit.

4:33 AM
I'm looking at handle_commands now, and am confused by inconsistency.
There is second_part_lower, which is defined as message_parts[1].lower() with fallback to empty.

@hichris123 That sounds interesting, actually

But then some of the conditions are stated in terms of second_part_lower, and others with message_parts[1].lower().
E.g., line 124 vs 135.
I guess this should always be second_part_lower, just for consistency.

Hm. My "sd 2k" in the Tavern didn't result in a checkmark in MetaSmoke.
sd 2tpu- did.
So, I guess I haven't found the part where tpu- sends info to metasmoke.
Of course. I'm an idiot. I should have simply changed second_part_lower to be fp- or tpu- as appropriate.

@BrockAdams: Is it really a good idea to tp such a question? It seems like it would be a legit question on other sites.

Yes, but it's a definite close on that site.
Also, OP probably got Q-blocked on other sites.
Also, rules can be tuned by site -- although that one probably isn't.

@Wrzlprmft If your concern is about training Bayesian incorrectly (so it begins to report legitimate programming questions), don't worry: Bayesian project has been discontinued.
tp doesn't do anything other than put a checkmark in Metasmoke log.
tpu blacklists the user, but only per site. It's a toss-up whether this should be done about programming questions asked on meta; such users are not likely to post anything good; in practice they never post again.
tl;dr doesn't really matter
