@tripleee Thank you for investigating. Looking at it more closely, this isn't even a Linux compatible software. At least the site claims it's Windows/Mac. You can probably get it to run in Ubunty but the answer definitely doesn't mention how.
Ugh, looking at the whole question it's a mess: another answer with just a link. And the software again claims it's only for Windows/Mac. Effectively the same as the one Smokey flagged but with a different link.
And this answer lists several, including an AudKit software. Again no information. I've not looked them up, so I don't know if they are all Ubuntu compatible (or marketed as such).

OK, the answer with a list is honestly starting to bother me. Option 1 seems to be Windows only and apparently some old (discontinued?) Amazon software for managing audio books. Option 2 is AudKit which has been spammed before. Option 3 is another Windows/Mac software. Option 4 is iTunes and I am not quite sure it does what the topic asks for - remove DRM from Audible books (which are Amazon's). Moreover, I'm not sure if you can even install it on Ubunutu.
Honestly seems like a spam for AudKit but buried in other nonsense.

@tripleee I'm not convinced that using the same name servers as a website that has been spammed makes this spam. The fact that it's windows/mac only does make it pointless as an answer and deserving of a downvote (which I don't have enough rep for). But ultimately the question was asking for recommendations and this software does what was asked for, and I still maintain there's no visible affiliation between the poster and the software (as I commented 5 months ago). CC @Cow @VLAZ
@Nick Halflife has been tracking this name server pair for 2 years and it has only been seen in these three domains. Cloudflare name servers in particular are quite reliable (sure, there are some overlaps where legitimate domains get the same name servers as a spammer, but what are the odds that a false positive occurs on a domain with the same sort of agenda and similarities in the product name?)
Also the user had been around for 3 months before posting and has not posted any other spam (picked up by SD), this is not usual spammer behaviour.
Recommending a random non-Ubuntu tool does smell, though. Even if not spam (which seems a bit unlikely), it's still not a good recommendation. Compare with the answer that is more than just "try this tool" - it lists the tool, how to install it and how to use it.
@Nick Users being inactive for months or years before posting spam isn't unusual, either.
But @VLAZ there's another answer which is essentially identical to this, just a different tool. Why is that not spam?

@tripleee whois records suggest that viwizard and audkit might be the same people, but less likely tuneskit is (different registrars). All in all, I don't think it's enough to tar someone with only one post as a spammer.
they are registered many years apart; it is quite feasible for the operation to have decided to switch registrars (perhaps simply by shopping for the cheapest at any time)
7:47 AM
!!/watch littleplanetpreschool\.com
@tripleee but also viwizard has maybe 1 spam, audkit 2, tuneskit 43! Why would you put all your energy into one domain and not all the ones you own?
but it's fine to disagree; my money is on future spam appearing and settling the issue in my favor
So they couldn't choose to use the same nameservers.
@tripleee Not sure how we'll settle that bet :)
7:50 AM
no, but if they already have a Cloudflare account, new domains will typically be assigned to the same name servers; this is why Cloudflare in particular is excellent for establishing links between spam domains
@Nick guessing A/B testing and/or plausible deniability
@tripleee I was referring to buying the winner a beer (or whatever non-offensive product is required :)
