@Jesse That pattern may be a North American number. If it is, please use a format which starts with an optional 1 followed by possible separator text and has the main number in the format 785-586-4281 where - could be a single alpha character or any [\W_]*+. Alternately, you can add the comment (?#IS NorAm) to the end of the pattern to force also using the alternate normalized form, or (?#NO NorAm) if it's not a North American phone number and it's incorrectly recognized as one. Perhaps try !!/watch-number 785-586-4281. Append -force to the command word(s) if you really want to add the pattern you provided.

Shame. Would be a handy way to quickly blacklist cross-site spammers/trolls.

I think that would be more complicated than it's worth. Each site has a different user ID because they're all technically different accounts, even though they're all tied to one Stack Exchange user.
I've had the same thought recently so I started working on a program of my own to scrape their SE profile every couple minutes, but I've been procrastinating it.

Idea: add another "magic" link to the PR's to search CHQ for (more thinking here) - some large non-regex portion of the watched term (perhaps the name part of the domain, for those), to catch potential double-entries where a non-blacklister puts in a PR, then later a blacklister adds the same watch

@JeffSchaller The fire-extra-functionality script does this pretty well. At the bottom of FIRE, if a PR has already been opened for a domain that matches the domain in the post (even if they aren't the exact one), it'll have a link to the PR with a "!!/approve" button.

@Jesse that's pretty handy! and unfortunate, because I don't use FIRE :)

It only works for domains though, and currently it only shows if the PR was opened while you have the chat open, but I'm planning on fixing that last one one at some point.
@JeffSchaller Ah, well maybe you should then ;)

Does the potentially problematic ns/asn thing basically mean it's a link to a 'sketchy' website?

@user16217248 Post 1: Already recently reported [ MS ]

@SmokeDetector rude Trolling, just a copypasta of the question

@user16217248 Well, a potentially sketchy website. It means that the NS or ASN the domain uses is in either the NS or ASN watchlist respectively. Pretty much just ones that spammers like to use for their domains.

I see... I guess. I'm not a web developer though.

5:54 PM
@user16217248 The NS is the name server, which usually goes through whichever company they bought the domain with. The ASN is a number similar to an IP address, but for entire internet provider networks instead of a specific person.
So basically it looks for domain providers and internet providers that spammers like to use.

But what makes spammers tend to use certain nameservers or ISP networks?

Geographical location, maybe more lax spam/fraud policies.
Could be a bunch of things.

Places were spamming is either legal for some bizarre reason, or laws against it are not well enforced.
