I'm really not sure, but MSE seems to disproportionately attract them for some reason.
I've seen employees respond in a comment by saying "We're not an image hosting service." followed by deletion of their post and their profile, so I dunno.

None of the current watched images are being used consistently even though most/all of them are still up and it was just a one-off image. I am confident that the ones watched recently will follow the same pattern and not be used again. Perhaps we should update the watch guidelines to say that we don't watch images too.

@SmokeDetector While the text isn't what people would commonly consider "rude", and I'm not sure an R/A flag will be marked helpful, just the word "Noun" doesn't even attempt to address the question, and it is rude, IMO, to intentionally yell "Noun!!!!!!!!!!" in an area which is reserved for answers, even if the word "noun" isn't inherently rude on it's own.
@SmokeDetector Basically, the analogy is that someone has asked a question to a room full of people and is waiting for an answer. Someone coming in and just yelling "Noun!!!!!!!" is rude. I don't consider this anything other than trolling, from an unregistered account.

@Ollie Difficult to say. I assume in cases where the maximum number of autoflags are cast, and at least one or two Charcoal reviewers are actively watching the feed of new reports, it's in the ballpark of 5 seconds. The lowest period of time that MS will report that a post has been deleted within is 10 seconds (example). Anywhere between that and 30 seconds ("half a minute" in MS) is what I would consider "instant"

@Machavity Yep. There's a lot of cases where SD/MS and Charcoal members aren't the only ones acting on a post. Mod report and then nuke, or someone reporting with the post only needing a single additional flag, is probably the most likely source for the lowest time from report to deletion.

@SmokeDetector Hm. We'd have, ideally, wanted to stop the profanity from being edited in here, but the rest of the edit seems okay.

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in answer (1): Is there ability to get articles from VK API? ✏️ by Manuel Cortez on stackoverflow.com

@Spevacus Because tooltips are not very discoverable. You have to actually move the mouse around trying to find them. It might be nice to have a browser feature that showed all the tooltips. It could be done with a browser extension, userscript, or even a bookmarklet.
@Dragonrage We appreciate if spam posts are reported, but the important thing is to get the post gone. I also certainly understand not remembering to report when working the mod flag queue, and have forgotten to even check if the post had been reported on a few/several occasions. However, reporting does help us detect similar future spam posts. So, if you do remember, it would be beneficial.

@Makyen sure thing. Ill try and remember to do so in the future. can you give me a quick refresher on manual reporting, or a link showing the command?

All commands are available here. There's almost always a pinned message on the starboard that has Charcoal's wide array of helpful links, and this one is among 'em. :)

@Spevacus thanks.

@Dragonrage The commands are here. The specific command is !!/report <URL to post> or sdc report <URL to post>.
However, for reporting a single post, I usually use SOCVR's Request Generator (GitHub) (install), which puts a button in the post menu on each post which will open a popup where one of the "request types" is a !!/report to SD. You will want to set the options so that SD commands are always shown and SD commands are always sent to Charcoal HQ.

@Dragonrage Hmmm... Just to double check, is this the first userscript you're using? Do you have a browser extension installed which is a userscript manager (ideally you do have one installed)? If so, which one? I'm asking about a browser extension, because ctrl-shift-a is what's used to bring up the list of browser extensions on Firefox, but isn't something I'd associate someone wanting to type with most userscripts.

@Dragonrage np. I'm glad it ended up working. You'll probably want to go to the "options" selection, which is at the bottom of the popup. You'll want to make sure all the checkboxes are checked except the top two.

@Makyen Ill try that when Im done being rate limited

@Dragonrage Ouch. I hate it when that happens. What caused it?

no idea. its been happening pretty often recently
trying to post on MSE to see if anyone knows what might be causing it

If you have no other userscripts installed, which you just installing Tampermonkey strongly implies, then it should be very rare for you to be rate limited under normal use of the site.
Is there someone else sharing your IP address?

@Makyen not that im aware of. Im on my home network and i live alone
and yeah, thats the only userscript i have. besides that, I have dark reader and ublock origin installed

9:43 PM
@Dragonrage That would normally result in you having a non-shared public IP address, but, I guess, it's possible for your ISP to have multiple people sharing one actual external IP address.
Are you normally opening up a significant number of tabs to SE pages at the same time (not just have multiple tabs open, but opening them very close together in time)?

@Makyen no, not usually. I do open some new tabs occasionally when doing mod queue stuff, but generally not more than a few at any given time

@Dragonrage That shouldn't result in being rate limited, particularly without any userscripts installed.

lol, just got robo verification when trying to post a question too

Some userscripts do make it a bit more likely to end up rate limited, but if the scripts are behaving properly, it shouldn't be an issue. I have about 100 userscripts installed, 35 of which run on each SE question page I open. Unless I'm working on developing a userscript and mess up (i.e. mistakenly cause a script to behave poorly by changing the code), then I'm almost never rate limited.
@Dragonrage Hmmm... That implies SE might have made some rate limit changes, or that your IP/IP range might be set to have extra checking. Overall, what you are experiencing doesn't sound normal.

yeah, posted a question on MSE about it. if that doesnt help, ill try sending an email to se about it
