@angussidney now it works

welcome to core (-:

tpu- by tripleee

@tripleee oh does that mean i stepped up a rank? :)

12:01 PM
I added the core role, I think you already had the role before everything got muddled up a while ago

I think you were briefly stepped down in the meantime ^

i know i had the team role and was able to use the chat tools
oh, heresy :D

that's for sure, we had core tied to a dynamic check and anyone who submitted 60 feedbacks in 30 days got the privileges ... but then fell off again if they were less active
if by "chat tools" you mean feedback, that's a different privilege still

yes well im kinda busy IRL lately so i check but in most cases do not submit a feedback to already deleted stuff

12:05 PM
yes I spend as much time I have on the site but, we all know how its rolling sometimes

@Videonauth yeah, don't worry, we reverted back to the original system (you are given it by an admin then keep it) because we agreed it was better than the 60 feedbacks thing

not critiquing, just showing you that this too is moderately easy and useful to get via the Blazer SQL thingy

Don't feel like we're cracking a whip or anything :P

it really opens up the Metasmoke database to a whole new level

understandably you want to keep this limited

tpu- by tripleee
tp- by Videonauth

@Videonauth on the contrary, I think we really want more people to discover it, but not the bad guys of coss

It's only because the SQL explorer is computationally expensive, and we don't want any random bot to crash the server at their leisure

informally it feels less heavy than the search form we show everyone

well if you can run sql queries you really not want the bad guys discover it, i never encountered a sql query mechanism which is 100% foolproof against sql injection

12:09 PM
as for that part, it uses views, so it doesn't really have a way to put anything back in the db

Where would questions about excel/sheets formulas be on topic?

feeling tempted to create a "who created the most queries this month" query but I already know the result (-:
@WELZ SuperUser maybe?

uhhh SU or SO if

there are some reasonable questions on Stack Overflow but ...

And the user doesn't even have write privileges... So yeah, foolproof against people writing stuff, but yeah it's computationally expensive
And honestly, once you know enough about the system and database, you're probably core anyway.

12:12 PM
true that
ow i got one more disputed flag and two more declined ones O_o
well probably autoflagging related

@ArtOfCode the Blazer user IDs don't map to external users in any meaningful way I guess?

@WELZ Super User. As long as you show some effort (what you have tried so far), otherwise it will get closed as too broad.

so you can get a dump per numeric Blazer user id but not easily see who that user is

We really should have an additional feedback type which indicates that some action needed to be taken, but that there shouldn't be a system level block. While we definitely don't want a system level block on posts like the prior one, we do have detections which are looser then we'd really need if the only intent was a system level block. Basically, when looking at our TP/FP numbers, we, generally, consider fp to be something we want to avoid (as long as doing so doesn't result in missed tp).
However, there's significant beneficial to detecting and presenting to human reviewers a significant number of the posts which we mark as fp. These are posts which were, in fact, not acceptable in the state in which they existed when detected, but which were repairable by editing. When evaluating detections, if we want to consider that aspect, we currently have to manually look at every FP and make that determination again. It would be better if it was something we could record at the time.

@Makyen That's why I suggested a vlq feedback (which would be equivalent of naa)

@WELZ I can understand that. However, NAA and VLQ have specific definitions as flags, which don't really fit for what I was describing. While they might be able to do double duty as feedbacks for us, and to an extent we were sort-of/kind-of using tp (as opposed to tpu) as something like this. However, any differentiation in the meaning of tp vs. tpu has been thrown out the window by having tp be the only TP response available in review.

8:57 PM
Maybe I should make the review response just t
In all seriousness... Adding feedback types is hard. Adding aliases is easy, Smokey handles them. But adding totally new types is hard because of all the implications it has MS-side

Spam flags disputed on metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/120730 (and metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/120730); cleared feedbacks to get another look.

@Undo ...why did we flag that?

9:15 PM
@NobodyNada No autoflags

@Undo Right, but why was it marked tp?
Is there context I'm missing? I would probably have fp'd that without question

It looks a little shady, but yeah. That's why I cleared feedbacks.

Restart: API quota is 19218.

9:41 PM
@ArtOfCode Sorry, I did not intend the review tp vs. tpu comment as a dig, but if it came out that way, I apologize.
I do admit to a bit of confusion regarding it. From the point of view when to consider the handling of posts to be "complete", I'd generally been using tp feedback to indicate that just having enough feedback was sufficient (perhaps with a subsequent edit), whereas tpu feedback indicated "completed" was interpreted as enough feedback and the post is deleted. [Enough feedback = there's > 2 feedbacks (with 1 type of feedback outnumbering the others).]

@quartata no, no I didn't

@quartata Yeah. I didn't see the user name, nor had I Googled "David Irving". Basically, I jumped the gun, due to being in a frame of mind that was overly concerned about seeing TP on FP. Sorry about that.
