@ByteCommander It's tripleee's fault.

@SmokeDetector hey!!!

"AssertionError: assert 'https://tinyurl.com/y7ba4pth' == 'https://charcoal-se.org/'" This is weird too, wasn't it fixed earlier? (failure on circleci)

Definitely 2.5 for Ruby though

@ArtOfCode I know that Undo uses it in prod, but I'd prefer to stick with stable unless if there is a good reason to use unstable

@angussidney I'd advise developing on the same version as prod, just to avoid any weird cross version issues

too many admins here. someone check the prs?

Once I've installed bundler I can just run bundle install and it will install all the jems, including rails right?

@angussidney I created a Dockerfile which seemed to work back before Christmas, but it probably needs to be updated

@ByteCommander woops :P

@tripleee yeah, call me old-fashioned but I don't know anything about docker and I'd like to become a little more familiar with setting up Rails applications
Thanks anyway though

the Dockerfile is basically a sequence of shell commands to set up Metasmoke
the resulting image if you run it will be installed in a container instead of on your computer but the commands should hopefully be useful in both scenarios
though some of them are Docker idiosyncrasies which aren't required in the standalone case

@JakeSymons that means out of the 19 potential spames we've caught mentioning adderall, 18 were legit and 1 wasn't. "effect" has 8050 TPs and only 321 FPs on MS, that doesn't indicate any problem with the term "effect".
When we blacklist a term, we want to make sure it's not also in common usage in legitimate posts Smokey never caught because it doesn't try to catch legitimate posts.

Would you mind adderall being watched if it's demoted from a blacklist keyword?

12:10 PM
No objections, but 18 TPs containing it versus 500 legitimate uses suggests it's likely to get a lot of noise.
Google gives me 400 stretching back to 2015 so that's 150-ish a year, or once every 2-3 days we'll get an adderall false positive. That's manageable and could give us some data on what ADHD spam messages are actually saying if we check back in a couple of months.
So watching it could help us find spam messages advertising adderall, and block those? That sounds helpful.

@JF so you know the hotjar thing I added to the website? I'm not sure it's useful data, but it's definitely interesting. Gives you recordings of user interactions with the website, which I hadn't realised

@tripleee what version of Python?
Maybe the dictionary ordering isn't stable across versions...

aaand stickermule support may just be the best corporate support I've had to use yet... under an hour since I found the problem and got in touch and they've kicked it all through for me

older Python versions had arbitrary dictionary order

hmm, interesting

@Henders people are starting to realise that awesome support means return customers

before that, the order depends on the internally used hashes, which should be constant as long as the dictionary is unmodified, but can not be guaranteed to be the same otherwise
so it should be treated as randomly ordered

@ArtOfCode Yep. Especially with so much competition. Error resolution is key IMO

right. this dictionary was constant, and since this test passed on 3.5 I didn't think that the hashing could have changed in differet versions
I'll replace "stackexchange.com" with next(_clients keys())

what is breaking?

Now I can easily go through Low Quality Posts and re-flag everything as NAA.

why though

For extra helpful flags and a (possibly) higher accuracy.
It's not a real robo-reviewing US. I just added two keyboard shortcuts to open the actual post and to skip the current item.

@iBug Do it. I dare you.

but all naa flagging does is put it in the review queue

So the procedure would be [Open] > M, F, 3, Enter > Ctrl-W > loop

2:55 PM
[ metasmoke ] ci/circleci failure on 61abbe6: Your tests failed on CircleCI
[ metasmoke ] ci/circleci failure on 61abbe6: Your tests failed on CircleCI

Yeah so it does no harm to flag those again.

but no good either

Just be careful not to blindly flag everything - only those that I'm confident of real NAAs.

why not just use natty
if you want to do more naa review

ehm
@Andy What would you do?

2:58 PM
@iBug now use a do it again program and watch

have you ever watched pulp fiction

What's wrong with letting them sit where they are? If you are only adding flags to increase your flag count, you aren't helping at all. You're doubling the number of reviews that need to occur.

doubling the number of reviews?
wait for me to search on MSE

now someone has to also review your flag to say if it's naa or not
