@Makyen only reason it'd drop out of standby is if someone forced it to or if it ended up reverted

but neither happened according to the CLI

it might be instead how we handle errors like the broken pipe error

or the websocket errors

it also hadn't died yet in the CLI side, it was just idling

I'm not sure what's going on. I don't see any messages from it stating that it received a failover signal. At least for the first time that it came out of standby, there isn't a report of a broken pipe error, or any other error. As to the going away, if someone commanded it, that wasn't in this room. Obviously, there are multiple other possible places where that could have been done.

@Makyen - I have read, and kept tabs open for reference. Simple 'comment reply' to SD still requires privileges. Reference: Adding comments via chat: "Note: SmokeDetector review privileges required, and your metasmoke account must be linked to your chat profile. --- If you reply to any report posted by SmokeDetector in chat, some or all of your message will be automatically added as a comment on metasmoke.".

I usually only chat here, but I've said a word or two on The Tavern.

@Rob Great. Thanks. It's not critical for me to know the account numbers for you on those servers. There's just an array for each user that includes that information. I can just leave the one for chat.SO as null.

@Rob OK. We'll need a MS admin to enable it. It gets disabled from time-to-time to prevent spammers/trolls creating spurious accounts (which they do sometimes).

My biggest problem at the moment is that I signed in with Stack Exchange and my password is blank (since I login to SE using Google) and it says: "We need your current password to confirm your changes." - which is blank/non-existent (I know it doesn't want my Google account password). I just came back to reply to the ping, I'll take a better look (using magnifying glass on cellphone screen).

I reloaded the page and there's a mystery password ******** - if it accepts that and let's me use SE login then I'm good. It appeared that it wanted me to complete my account details to finish registration but it may well be sufficiently finished. - so never mind.
