@Sciborg the gist of it is I have a problem where if I make a mistake, and I know that other people will see/know that I have made a mistake, no matter what the mistake is, I become worried that everyone will think I'm stupid and look down on me
This is obviously illogical, but it's based on some very real events where I was a little know-it-all that some other kids resented, so they would make fun of me if I made even the smallest mistake
Ideally the people on The Internet would be more mature than a group of 2nd graders, but then, it's The Internet
(fwiw, bobble - i know that feeling very well. i'm not sure the best way of getting over it, but hopefully it helps to know that you're not alone there)
the technique here is an interesting one - you shouldn't really look at x as a variable. instead it's more like... a "carrier" for coefficients that you want to be equal
(BTW it's a lot easier to just use the search bar to find exactly what you want instead of what I presume you did, which is literally go through the transcript day by day until you came across the right message)
To friends: tomorrow, I have constant tests for a large part my schoolday. I'll also be doing some studying for these tests in the morning. Therefore, expect me to disappear around 7:30-ish and not reappear until much, much later. :/
