Here is the text from the Angry DM link:
I respectfully decline. I do not support violence against anyone and I think it is absurd to blame Chinese-Americans for this virus. I condemn that bullshit.

However, I also think it is extremely important for every American – for every person of every nation – to remember that the COVID-19 pandemic was allowed to spread and cause so much damage because of the lies of an evil, tyrannical, communist government that must be held accountable. I will continue to remind absolutely everyone that this Chinese virus came from China and was allowed to spread through the world because the government

Back to the AngryDM business: I do not know BESW, nor anyone else here, and I have not been around long enough to build impilicit trust in their judgement that would justify me blindly making statements about other people based on it. I think if I am asked to contact other users here to change their links, because there is a change in policy whom this site is OK to link to or not, that I would like to have some kind of documented evidence in the form of a meta question and answer.
Or any other offical statement.
I have zero interest to get dragged into a discussion about wether Angry DM is, or is not, racist. I'm fine with someone working this out and getting it made site policy. I will then follow that policy.
Alternatively, you can go and ask them to change their links if you think it is the right thing to do.

@GroodytheHobgoblin I doubt it'd ever be site policy – it'd just be a polite suggestion to change the link, at most. Though if someone makes such a suggestion, they should probably explain the reasoning when they leave such a comment.

@V2Blast Agreed.
And I did change the link (although I think in subject matter terms, the AngryDM treatment of the issue is superior, swearing or not). I then however was asked to contact another poster, who also had linked to the article to change it, and that I feel not comfortable with doing, just based on hearsay.

Re: Angry DM. Apparently there are a lot of other interactions taken into consideration in a decision to not use links to his site, not that single comment above (which actually states he is not intending to critique race, but political system). I have no proof of them, and little appetite to go hunting. In judicial systems, there is probably a good reason behind the principle that someone is innocent unless proven guilty.
If someone wants to make a case AngryDM is inappropriate, they should do so, and back it up with evidence or references or experience, just as we demand in any other answer. I do not think this is unreasonable to ask for, especially on this site.

@GroodytheHobgoblin IMO, the stakes seem pretty low here. You seem more invested than anyone else in this particular discussion, and I'm not getting the vibe that you even care all that much. It's not like we've got disgruntled users upset that we have quit directing people to AngryGM. I think digging this up to make a paper trail is a solution looking for a problem.

@GroodytheHobgoblin you are wise to be careful of trusting folks on the internet
AngryGM is a valid web site, but his prose style is off putting to a great many people. IIRC, his tendency to use profanity is but one aspect of that.
I have not visited there in a number of years. I found some of his stuff useful, and some not, and the over-bloated prose posturing eventually made it not worth visiting anymore.

@KorvinStarmast Buries the lede under a few paragraphs of rant. They're not the only one with that habit, and it's off putting every time.

I got his book from the kickstarter. Let's say that his editor made him do a lot of liposuction (and belligerent attitude reduction) which was a good idea. My brother got the other copy as a birthday present. @GcL

The printed publication is better than the web site? That's good to know. Good editing is invaluable. I wonder how much of that is a result of the economics of how books become profitable vs how websites do.
