Hi Mods. I had flagged this answer (revision 1 of it) as "not an answer" and the flag has been declined. Why? These are explicit questions in the question: "Can bad sectors in hard drive really cause data loss?", "Should I be worried by about my hard disk and if so why has not there been any data loss in my hard disk?". In what way is the answer a try to answer these?

In other words, how can "do this and that" answer "can something cause something?", "should I be worried?" or "why?"?

@JourneymanGeek So my flag may have been justified after all? I'm asking because I want to know if I need to adjust my "procedure of recognizing not-an-answers" because of this one flag having been declined.

OK. Thank you. My flags are rarely declined. I will take it as a random fluctuation and move on.

(that's to say we don't always get it right, tho who got it wrong is debatable :D)
