@DavidPostill Well, what I had in mind is that the question does not seem to be related to a more specific network configuration at all – it is really just about a situation that occurs when 2 network connections are used.
(That is, about the browser keeping connections alive, and Windows automatically doing its thing where a connection remains bound to a specific interface.)
My view is that if you think some specific information is missing (like whether they're using a VPN client or whatever), that should be requested in the comments – the OP is not a mind reader either.
