How does the automatic protection against serial upvoting a user, which @slhck mentioned here, work?
I regularly up vote his answers. Not because I like him better than the posts, but because we're both active in the same niche topic on this site...
I mean there is almost nobody else to up vote...
(That last one is for osx-lion)
That came out wrong earlier. We're both answering similar questions, so I see his answers, and up vote them because they're good. Just like the system is meant to be used. Since there are few others I can shower with up votes in the topics that interest me, it might look like cheating. But come on we both have 20k+ rep, it's not like I'm up voting my 500 rep sock puppet account...

It really depends on the time frame you're voting in, I guess
If you cast five upvotes over the course of one day, it should probably work
We could just try and see how much goes through, but that would be cheating :P
Actually... hmmmm, I might be wrong about that statement of all votes being removed … let me check. It seems there was a recalc of my rep and it didn't update correctly in the SU menu @DanielBeck
The only thing I noticed was that I refreshed my browser and my rep seemed to have gone down by a large amount.

@slhck A few days ago I up voted quite a few answers of yours from the last 1-2 months I missed. I'd be pissed if these votes didn't count.

@DanielBeck They did count. I thought they did not because somehow my rep count was lower when I refreshed a page. It might have been a caching error or I don't know what.
They're there after all :)
So sorry for all the fuss
