Any advice for what to do if you wrote an answer that was accepted and then proves out to be wrong? Think I should delete it? superuser.com/questions/1429886/…

@n8te keep the old answer, and edit it to reflect the correct answer

But in this specific case, I don't know what would be the "correct answer"

"Since I posted the original answer, I found out that percussively recaliberating a retrocombulator..."

OPs original 20 GB turned out to be adequate

@n8te the answer isn't particularly wrong

I just wrote my answer based on the listed system requirements

the question is terrible.

Yeah, that error log they tried to sum up wasn't very helpful

so I'd go with letting it be for now
the suggested space includes actual options and software

That 160 GB requirement did seem suspicious. But still kind of surprised that it would still work with less than 20% of the requirement

Actually, at least it isn't 137gb
IIRC that was a common SCSI size

I don't even remember Home Server 2011 being a thing
Must not have been very popular with the masses

iirc it was a small business server
didn't know they sold it on its own...
which might be half the problem

It did strike me as odd that they were installing it in virtualbox, but I learned long ago not to bother asking why people are doing the things they're doing

Sometimes ignorance is bliss ;)
virtualbox makes sense, its useful for learning with a trial version. You can beat them into working for 3 months after all.

Yep, rearm, rearm, rearm
They're using it to study for the Home Server 2011 certification :p

lol
actually possibly kinda sorta
IIRC the SBS versions don't worry as much about say CALs
and would get you playing with AD and such

9:14 AM
Looks like it did end up working on 20 GB

2 hours later…
10:53 AM
Ugghh that question even hit HNQ

Not any more ;)
(seemed like a good test case)
I probably shouldn't do that too often though

Cool, thanks. People kept giving me upvotes even though my answer proved to be wrong. I don't like getting rep that way
