@nitsua60 I got excited when I thought the OP had edited more details into that identification question 😅

Q: How often do I need to hand out spell scrolls as the DM in order to balance the Wizard's spell list with the Cleric's?

TackI'm running a campaign for a party that includes two casters: one Necromancy Wizard, and one Cleric. The party hit level 5 last session, and while the Wizard was consulting with me about what new spells to take, I realized that many of the spells they were considering (Speak with Dead, Animate De...

@AncientSwordRage Lies. A large pizza doesn’t even feed 1 teenager. Source: we ordered 6 pizzas for 4 teens at Halloween, and even with pumpkin chili on offer and lots of candy, we didn’t even have half a pizza left after

8:20 AM
@BardicWizard exactly!

8:40 AM
I definitely ate,... just too much pizza as a teen

I didn't get into my Eat All The Pizza phase until my late teens/early twenties but it definitely was a thing.

9:41 AM
@trogdor impossible
On a similar note, a pastry chain has digital TV display behind the counter, and it looks like almost every page have 'serving suggestion' on it no matter what images of food is shown
So apparently 4 mince pies is a serving, 3 large sandwiches...etc.. I love it

that sounds like a glitch or something
@AncientSwordRage I mean maybe at that age yes, don't try to say that after adulthood that is still the case
XD

@ThomasMarkov if a d&d character had 8 str and 16 con, is there a type of training or activity that would lead to that kind of disparity between endurance and strength?
@trogdor lazy marketing perhaps
@trogdor 👀 oh

lol

@AncientSwordRage I feel like their definition of average incorrectly includes every adult who does not eat pizza

@doppelgreener they exist? 😳

GcL
10:00 AM
I used to eat pizza. Not so much anymore.

@doppelgreener Ah yes, the anti-Georg.

GcL
@AncientSwordRage Power eating and distance running? Great intestinal and cardiovascular fortitude.

@GcL could be
Would pumping bellows in a forge/kiln be more strength or constitution?

10:26 AM
I still eat pizza just not as much as I used to
I just,... had pizza for dinner today in fact

@trogdor woop!
My Pizza consumption tends to be take away pizza

Q: Identifying a Tabletop Book

McGloneI'm likely fishing for a needle in a haystack but my daughter spotted a tabletop RPG book in a game store a while back and I'm trying to track it down as a possible Christmas gift. Unfortunately, I don't even know if it was D&D or some other system. What my daughter remembers is that it had a pic...

10:49 AM
@AncientSwordRage I mean I'm not like, baking pizza myself here

10:59 AM
@AncientSwordRage the USA has about 300 million people and consumes about 30 million pizzas a day, therefore Americans politely consume only one tenth of a pizza. If you've got ten friends over, now you can order one pizza to share!

@AncientSwordRage ultra long distance running

@trogdor I could instead buy one from a shop, and bake it myself

oh well I do get like, frozen ones that I cook in the oven but that entirely feels like cheating

@ThomasMarkov Mhmmm anything else? The character is a dwarf and I can't imagine them running ultra marathons in their home cave

well I do do it but if I were to claim that as making a pizza myself it would feel like cheating

11:03 AM
@trogdor Cheating because it's not 'real' pizza or ...?
ah gotcha

@AncientSwordRage yeah I realized that sounded like,... I was saying there was something wrong with just cooking a premade but uncooked frozen pizza and that was noooot what I meant XD

@trogdor makes sense though. Reheating/finishing baking a premade pizza is only cooking at a stretch in my eyes

well generally they aren't cooked yet anyway
so it is cooking it it just isn't making it
the distinction being mostly that the cooking part by itself is literally the easiest step especially if you just throw it in the oven with a timer

I thought some came part baked?

it might?
it's not like, edible cooked though
don't eat frozen pizzas without baking them
that's my public service announcement for the day

11:16 AM
@trogdor true! I've definitely had issues where I think I've cooked my pizza, but it turns out it felt like it was still rising in my stomach. I ended up extremely full, but not at all in an unpleasant way. Definitely had a good nap after that.

they might be like, part baked to get the cheese and the sauce coverage right for example, but not enough to make everything on there edible, even if it doesn't have like, meat on it
also I mean,... it's frozen anyway so,.. it's cold
just don't do it kids

11:53 AM
@AncientSwordRage doesn’t have to be ultramarathons I guess.

12:04 PM
@ThomasMarkov Would hiking work?
I'm writing some backstory (for fun, not really needed for the game) and thinking 'bout ways she could have trained her Constitution up but not Strength. That is if she's not just naturally gifted constitution-wise like Phelps or Karnazes

12:26 PM
Michael Phelps would have been something like (Str 16, Dex 14, Con 20, Wis 0, Int 10, Cha 4)

@ThomasMarkov why wis 0? or don't I want to know? Also I just saw the Cha 4, so I can probably imagine

@AncientSwordRage will.
@AncientSwordRage Poison micro-exposure, like Westley.

@nitsua60 My name is ASR
@nitsua60 what are you saying about her mother's baking 👀

2 hours later…
2:58 PM
now I want pizza

3:51 PM
Do you have the ingredients?

4:27 PM
@V2Blast this is the natural state of things

comment clean up in aisle this-one ^
I started researching Dwarven gestation periods (I was making a family timeline for my dwarven character), and stumbled on elf gestation periods, and I almost got it in my head to ask BOTH and self answer one... and I am not letting myself get that distracted today 👀

@V2Blast It is a fine breakfast food
@AncientSwordRage marathon running
@ThomasMarkov wis 8: he's teachable

@KorvinStarmast that was TM's idea

@AncientSwordRage guess I missed his comment

10:35 PM
@KorvinStarmast not to worry, good to have it confirmed
