7:00 PM
@Rubiksmoose sort of like Life Transference?

@Rubiksmoose out of curiosity what is your interpretation (I can't see another but probably just because of the mental image in my head)

@NautArch Nope. LT is explicit. There is no vagueness there.

Punting discussion from chat to rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/123996/…

JK I see.

:45015999 What happens when I target a removed chat with a reply?

7:05 PM
@NautArch Here's where my point is: The only way you can read LT as being able to target yourself is by completely ignoring the first sentence. There is no contradiction or anything that would reasonably lead us to believe that there is any reason to ignore that sentence however. With that sentence being read it is clear RAW that the spell only transfers life to others. The issue with MI is different because the sentence itself is vague and open to multiple interpretations.

@ColinGross It tries to link up but the code breaks

:45015999 Who knows?

@NautArch THe mirror image thing seems to be a lot like blur in terms of you see them but you can't differentiate them because magic

:45015999 test [linked to Removed above]

@Rubiksmoose you say no vagueness but at least two people (Noelle and the twitter ask to JC) who thought it was vague.

7:05 PM
@DavidCoffron This is what happens when you play fast an loose with pointer arithmetic

In other news, which all of us RPG players may be interested in; the death of the last Munchkin.

@DavidCoffron I wonder if Rubiksmoose just got ping spammed

and my answer covers why it could be vague.

@GreySage probably (Sorry)

@GreySage I didn't actually lol but I think it was because I was typing?

7:07 PM
The attempts at life transference by the munchkin, on the munchkin, failed due to the cause of death being old age, not loss of HP.

@KorvinStarmast But I'm immune to necrotic damage. Do I heal?

@KorvinStarmast Those munchkins, always trying to circumvent the rules

@KorvinStarmast Very much. THey both only work against attacks against AC.

@DavidCoffron How so are you immune to necrotic damage?

As long as tabletop gaming exists, there will always be a munchkin

7:08 PM
@NautArch I mean it does, but it also supports the biggest idea that causes the confusion: that there is non-mechanical text in spells somewhere that we can ignore.

@KorvinStarmast Magic item in a module (spoilers)

@DavidCoffron No, you heal for double the damage you take. If you are immune you take no damage, and so heal for 0*2 = 0 (healing for 0 is not healing)

Actuallly I don't think there is one for necrotic

@Rubiksmoose WHy does the first sentence HAVE to be the correct sentence (to play devil's advocate)? I'm guessing because it's first :)

Is there a style guide for questions?
Are spell names proper nouns?

7:09 PM
IIRC, there is a warlock sub class that has resistance to necrotic, isn't there?
At level 10 or something?

@KorvinStarmast Then they would do very small life tranferences

@ColinGross No style guide. (and they are common nouns in the PHB)

@ColinGross There isn't. I prefer to use the game's convention which is italics, but proper nouns also works to clearly identify what you mean in the sentence about the spell Identify. :)

@NautArch No, ALL the sentences are correct. That is my whole point.

@DavidCoffron @OneCritWonder

7:11 PM
@KorvinStarmast The Raven Queen in UA IIRC

Sorry, was in another window.

You just have to read them together. Each one builds on the next.

@Rubiksmoose How can the ALL be correct if one clearly doesn't agree with "another" sentence ?

Catching up now.

@ColinGross They all do agree.

7:11 PM
@GreySage Heh, at least that's what's attempted @DavidCoffron Ah, that sounds right ...

@Rubiksmoose But what if I don't agree?

When you read them together.

@ColinGross The second sentence describes the mechanics by which you target "another" creature

@Rubiksmoose Is there a school of magic for people that want to read good and do other things good too?

7:11 PM
@Rubiksmoose I think you mean that the second sentence agrees within the stipulations of the first sentence. But the two sentences, standing alone, do NOT agree.

My omelette is only an omelette when I put all of the ingredients in it. Otherwise, it's just a lazy version of scrambled eggs.

@OneCritWonder Yeah, my cursory search didn't turn that one up in the first page....

@KorvinStarmast I don't understand what this is referring to

@KorvinStarmast UA druid Circle of TWilight

@ColinGross This school needs to be at least 3 times as big! I cast Enlarge School.

7:12 PM
@ColinGross Yes, but it's only for hyper-intelligent ants

@MikeQ Yes! So much yes. Who wants a school of magic for ants anyway?

I simply googled "Target illusion with Magic Missile" and had it pop up. There are a few other questions in my results as well from both SE and Reddit.

@GreySage I think we were talking about the dying munchkin and a small amount of life transference, thus a 'short joke' but maybe I missed the joke?

@OneCritWonder I used the search on this site. You and your fancy Google-fu. Back in my day we had Alta Vista and we liked it that way!

@NautArch Do you remember that time @DavidCoffron brought up the fact that dominate person didn't require the save in order to take control of them? You are making essentially the same argument here. If you take sentences apart and read them out of context, of course things are going to get weird. But they are not written to be read like that.

7:13 PM
@NautArch also UA cleric Protection Domain at 17

Don't make me remember ... I don't want to remember. @ColinGross

@KorvinStarmast Oh, I wasn't refering to the munchkin then. Totally missed that opportunity for a short joke :(

@GreySage the omelette allusion was words in spell descriptions. but this conversation is getting a bit disjointed, so I'll depart

@OneCritWonder oooo... Metacrawler.... Gopher.... UseNet!
Actually I think usenet is still around.

@KorvinStarmast official School of Necromancy wizard gets necrotic resistance at 10 (can't believe I forgot that one)

7:16 PM
@ColinGross Regarding proper nouns and style, I don't know if there is a specific method in the rules. However, while adding tags and fixing grammar I usually capitalize proper nouns like spell names or abilities and clarify between things that can often be confused... like Inspiration and Bardic Inspiration.

Not just for the sake of readability but also for indexing when the site gets crawled by search engines and the like.

@OneCritWonder robots.txt makes my skin crawl?

As they should.

@NautArch can we mark the silent image question as a duplicate instead?

@OneCritWonder it makes sense but spells in 5e books are not proper nouns (they are always lower case and italicized). That's where the confusion came from

I like having the reverse chronology duplication discussion at least once a week in here.

7:18 PM
do you really?

@DavidCoffron it's not the first time edits get made to capitalize spell names.

@DavidCoffron Personally I like to Capitalize any Words in my Sentences that have Meaning.

@ColinGross I know and I don't mind, but that's just where it stems from

@OneCritWonder I could. I look forward to it... or at least expect it.

In any piece of writing, context matters. If a rule has multiple sentences, they're meant to be read together. For example, the first sentence of Divine Sense is meant to be read with the rest of the feature's sentences, which explain that first sentence. #DnD https://twitter.com/DMdandanfieldng/status/991011235331162112

7:19 PM
@ColinGross Since time is cyclical, could you also look back to it?

@Rubiksmoose Can we revisit this theory about sentence relating to each other? Are you one of those crazy paragraphists? Or worse, one of those full page heretics?!

@Rubiksmoose I feel like Crawford's answer to the LT question is him justifying his mistake in real time tbh. THe second should have said "another creature"

@OneCritWonder I've always viewed time as more of a star prism shape.

(not that he's wrong, but it is a mistake IMO)

@DavidCoffron That would have been clearer.

7:20 PM
@DavidCoffron I think so too, but more of poor choice of wording on the second sentence than an error. Likely because the person writing/reading it didn't think to add it since the first sentence made it clear already.

@ColinGross Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so.
If time is an illusion, what happens if I target it with a Magic Missile?

@Rubiksmoose They should consult RPG.SE before publishing. We will be the best editors.

@OneCritWonder What if you target a Magic Missile with another Magic Missile

@MikeQ entities composed entirely of force are immune to force damage (Houserule)

@DavidCoffron I guess that is why they have UA huh? but still we could make this thing shine lol.

7:22 PM
@MikeQ What if you target a Magic Missile with an Antimagic Missile?

@ColinGross hahahaha

@OneCritWonder Isn't that how warp drives are powered?

@ColinGross YES!

@DavidCoffron You can't houserule in the chat
It's not a house

@MikeQ but the chat belongs in an ale house

7:24 PM
@MikeQ According to my girlfriend I spend more time here than in my home

Tell her that time is an illusion.

@DavidCoffron have you considered listing chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/11/rpg-general-chat as your home address?

you'd get the dirtiest look at the post office

or at least making an alias for it in your host file?

I don't have a host file. I'm from Eberron.

7:27 PM
oh wow, so if I hit my rep max today I'll be at 29,999 rep. That is painful lol.

Get an answer accepted! I think that ignores the cap (only a limit on upvotes, I think?)

@DavidCoffron I do love that setting.

@Rubiksmoose Or accept an answer to an old question (also ignores cap)

anyone good at haggling?

I really want Wizards to hire Mr. Baker to update it for 5e

7:29 PM
I want Wizards to build Rich Burlew's setting

@DavidCoffron Sadly I keep well on top of that (or I try to)

@goodguy5 Only with hardware vendors. Try the phrase, "yer bustin' my balls here, Frank"

@Rubiksmoose Wait... theres Reputation?

@CTWind I do my best to lol.

@OneCritWonder Reptutation<sup>TM</sup>

7:30 PM
I'm trying to get this car, listed at 12,5

I asked if we could negotiate the price, and he asked "what are you considering?"

@OneCritWonder bahahaha. It is the fuel that powers the eldritch engines of our souls.

so now, I'm like .... "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'VE NEVER MADE IT THIS FAR!"

@goodguy5 Have you considered using a decimal instead of a comma? He probably thinks your listing a British car.

Wait... you folks have souls?

@Rubiksmoose I'm sure I have a question where you are the defacto accepted but I was waiting the 24 hour and forgot. I'll look

7:31 PM
@goodguy5 Seller starts high, buyer starts low. Gradually approach a midpoint.

@goodguy5 Actually, there is some simple strategy to that for dealing with humans. Lemme see if I can find a decent link for you.
@MikeQ Kinda.

This is terrifying

I'm sure I can go read about it. But for sake of my laziness, whats the Rep cap for a day?

200 I think

^correct.

7:32 PM
per UTC day, you can only gain 200 rep

You could do the ol' "I was hoping to pay X but I'm willing to pay X+Y" and end up paying slightly more than X+Y

Q: What happens if I can't see a space within 10 feet for the purposes of Blink?

David CoffronThe blink spell states: At the start of you next turn, and when the spell ends if you are on the Ethereal Plane, you return to an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of the space you vanished from.  If you are blinded (or your vision to the 10 foot radius sphere ...

There you go

A few things can break rep cap, such as bonus from accepted answer

any additional "overflow" is sacrificed to the SE gods

@goodguy5 And that's why it's called stack overflow

7:33 PM
This is how Jon Skeet has more points than technically possible

@DavidCoffron Dawww thanks! I really had a lot of competition for that checkmark though huh?

@goodguy5 Don't worry about it. The advice for counter proposal is to explain why the initial figure is unreasonable and justify the new figure... if you want to go back and forth.

@Rubiksmoose Oh yeah. Like I said, I was probably just waiting the 24-hours and forgot

Basically tell them your price and walk. If they're willing to accept it at some point, they'll get back to you or not and they'll find another buyer.
Either way, you don't wast much time nor effort.

7:35 PM
Now let's see if I can juice 51 more rep in 4.5 hours lol

ty ^_^

@Rubiksmoose Just ask a +10 question and you'll be set
I recommend "What is an RPG?" :P

@DavidCoffron Rotating Pez Gatling, a candy dispenser banned by the Geneva Convention

Q: DMing without any resources: Is this DND anymore?

Caleb WoodmanI have a DM who doesn't use a map or minis, rarely uses our stats, and usually only uses rolls. Sometimes he uses a book. Most of the time he's really only telling a story, and we're telling it with him. In other words, he uses very few actual DND resources. I'm wondering the exact formula for a ...

I like this question lol

@SPavel It kills your enemies slowly via diabetes

7:38 PM
@DavidCoffron hahahah great one. I'm sure that will go over so well in so many ways.

@MikeQ No, it kills your enemies quickly via a hailstorm of supersonic candy buttons

@Rubiksmoose There isn't even that question anywhere. Maybe in meta?

As the pez flies through the air it rapidly disintegrates, creating a superheated, quickly moving cloud of sugar crystals

Q: What do you class as a "Role-playing Game"?

ReaperOscuroTo me, an rpg is simply that: a roleplaying game, whereas we undertake a specific role, and play it out. Now, within gaming genres, rpg has become intrinsically tied to traditional turn-based rpgs, originally lead by pnp -but wasnt pnp just a form of escapism, allowing us to fulfill a role of fan...

I would be very good at making up Wikipedia disambiguation pages

7:40 PM
Well, just so people know that was in no way asking for upvotes for any reason. Though I seem to have gotten a bunch. I really just thought it was funny. But thanks for the upvotes kindly souls.

@SPavel If it moves fast enough, it'll actually plasmify the air in front of the candy. Similar to this: what-if.xkcd.com/1

@Rubiksmoose I updooted your point game posts.

@Maximillian You'd need more than a Gatling gun to pull that off

True. Getting anything with a few decimals of C is tricky.
Note to players: Please do not construct a peasant railgun that allows a javelin to reach C.

@Maximillian Nah, just shout warp 1...2...3... and you are already faster
@Maximillian I think it already does since attacks happen instantaneously

7:43 PM
"I attack the orc." "The small plasma ball that destroys the dungeon does indeed kill the orc."

@Maximillian Problem solved

Small plasma ball destroys a dungeon? I'd hate to see a big plasma ball

@Rubiksmoose Maybe come up with a question, those get a lot of attention. The more extreme, the better.

@MikeQ Make me your player @Rubiksmoose! I can be super problematic

@Maximillian eventually you'll have to settle whether destroying an entire planet and ending all life on its surface would give you the XP value of defeating every single one of its inhabitants in combats.

7:45 PM
@MikeQ Like chewing bubble gum and drinking beer at the same time? The question is, "how hard to slap them?"

"My DM is literally holding me hostage. I am shackled to a pole and haven't eaten in days. Please send help... Is there a communication problem at our table? How do we make the game more fun?"

@doppelgreener Galactus probably levels up super fast

@MikeQ "We cast a spell and accidentally summoned a demon and now he wants to play D&D with us. How do I turn him down while also banishing him back to the pits of hell?"

@doppelgreener I think you just get the CR for the planet. It's equal to its orbital potential energy.

@Rubiksmoose Is it a shadow demon or not?
@ColinGross Now your making me remember when I extrapolate a planet's HP. THat was fun

7:47 PM
@Rubiksmoose I actually have an answer for that about a ~brother in-law~ pit spawned demon.

Anyone have a script to search the whole chat transcript?
(going back revers-chronologically)

@DavidCoffron ugh... but now that you've proposed it... i feel obligated.
How do you feel about purl?

@Rubiksmoose VTC as off-topic.

@GreySage vote denied. You have to play your role very well to succeed at that challenge.

@GreySage Migrate to demonology.stack

7:49 PM
"One of my players keeps breaking the dice with a hammer. He has also stolen our character sheets and fed them into a paper shredder.

Is there anything in the DMG to help remedy this situation?"

@MikeQ Ha!. Decent mass and sharp corners. Go with a 3rd edition DMG. They're a bit beefier.

@MikeQ Ah, I believe that one is covered on p.10472 of the expanded DM's handbook.

Or maybe ask a question from the future - Your players are distracted by their holophones and mini-porters, and they're eating up all your pizza rations. Tag as

@CTWind No. It's 10473, there was a large errata to p.7654 (the one about how to interact with people who lack lungs) that pushed all later pages up one.

@ColinGross oh dear... dare I even?

7:53 PM
@ColinGross docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/… In case you were wondering

@MikeQ hahahaha!

@Rubiksmoose Do it. Put up a question.
@DavidCoffron theydidthemath.stackexchange.com
Calculation checks out.

Now all we need is its AC and offensive CR and we can figure it out

@Rubiksmoose So would you say Burning Hands requires that both your hands be empty? (Thumbs together, fingers separated) — Medix2 12 mins ago
hah! think they can trip me up with a silly question like that?

@DavidCoffron It's it just the sum of all the ACs of all the earth, water, and air elementals?

7:56 PM
@ColinGross With bounded accuracy that would be ridiculous. You can't do a simple sum

@Rubiksmoose Isn't that required for all Robert Jordan variants of ~weaving~ err... spells
@DavidCoffron I'd sum it.
@DavidCoffron You might be surprised what I can sum.

@Rubiksmoose Umm... spell description doesn't include that in 5e
Oh wait, yes it does, nvm
But it DOES have a somatic component so you would have a free hand

SSD even wrote a really great answer about it.
38
Q: Does Burning Hands really require touching thumbs?

mattdmThe D&D 5E spell Burning Hands has verbal and somatic components, and is described like this: As you hold your hands with thumbs touching and fingers spread, a thin sheet of flames shoots forth from your outstretched fingertips. [...] The rule for somatic components, however, is that If a s...

darn work getting in the way of RPG debate

@Rubiksmoose Hahahaha! THat is the type of question we rally needed

7:59 PM
@NautArch The worst. Just pipe yes into whatever thing is squawking or kill -9 it.

D&D: Debates & Debacles

@ColinGross unfortunately, it's some folks who got burned trying to do the right thing (and not asking for help)

@Rubiksmoose What debacles?

@DavidCoffron Well those come later, after the debates.

@NautArch trying to do the right thing should always burn. When will people learn?!

8:01 PM
@Rubiksmoose With that parallel, do the dragons come after the dungeons? I've been doing it backwards

@DavidCoffron I always thought it was Dragoons. You know.. mounted light infantry

@DavidCoffron Yeah, obviously. The dragons stand at the entrance and roast anyone who tries to get in.

@SPavel Rich probably does too

This one?

@DavidCoffron Yeah. That one even shoots light!

8:03 PM
I think that's a bit unfair to throw at a D&D party.
Laser death spider robot.

@Maximillian Nah. A couple of zealous paladins and it goes down.

@Maximillian Depends how much they deserve it though ;)

@KorvinStarmast hah yes

@Maximillian I shall be referring to dragoon push as 'laser death spider robot push' from now on

@DavidCoffron that's a bit wordy

8:08 PM
@ColinGross when they learn that it's okay to ask for help?

I prefer LaDeSpRoPu (pronounced Lady Spropu)

@MikeQ looks to be a typo, I think "How do we make more fun, Mistress?" captures the question more clearly.

@NautArch Seems like reasonable acceptance criteria. Just stamp the ticket number on their forehead and I'll close them when it's done.

@ColinGross Close the ticket or close the client/querent?

@GreySage Does it matter as long as it moves it off the queue?

8:14 PM
So if I can pick y'all's brain. I have a superhero campaign coming. In this world the heroes are usually called "capes" for short and villains "hoods", but I can't think of a good short way to refer to people without powers. Any ideas?
I have one idea that is ok-ish, but I'll withhold it less it clog up someone's thinking. I just think there has got to be a better slang term for them. Short. Two syllables max (preferably one).

@Rubiksmoose nekkid
pants

@NautArch that isn't bad though I'm not sure I could keep a straight face calling people pants for some reason.

I love how almost everyone is waiting for the Querent on the 2handed weapon->1handed weapon question to answer it themselves.
@Rubiksmoose and that's why it's so great!

(plus the annoyance of having pants be pluaral and singular)
@NautArch almost indeed lol

@Rubiksmoose at least it's not a superb answer :/

8:20 PM
Knowing my group, they'll want to subdue and toss out the Protoss inside and insist they can figure out how to operate it themselves.
Well, my old group.

@Rubiksmoose fyi we'd prefer "my question got closed, please reopen it" to not be a thing that flags get used for. that's within ordinary community capacity to regulate, and for diamond moderators to regulate only in their capacity as regular citizens (i.e. coming across it in the feed because it got bumped).

@Rubiksmoose what's kinda funny is that it reads like SSD didn't actually answer the question.

@doppelgreener Oh, sorry about that! Don't I usually see the y'all suggesting it at times? As in I could swear I've seen diamond mods say "edit this then flag the post and see if it is good enough to reopen" before. Not that I have an issue with not doing it (it was my first time suggesting such a thing.

bah, I guess he did. He just spends more time on alternative readings and explanation than clearly giving the Yes/No answer.

But then again maybe I'm just extrapolating from special cases or misremembering. I can't point to any example right now though.

8:25 PM
@Rubiksmoose I haven't, maybe other mods have, but if we do that's sensitive to the situation and the attention we're individually investing in specific things.
We'll regularly do that when something gets deleted though.

@doppelgreener Understood! No problem.

Thanks. :)

@doppelgreener Ohhhhh I think that totally is what I'm thinking of.
Good call, and thanks for the correction.
Which makes sense because a mod deleted post can only be undeleted by the a mod so you have to flag it.

The recourses I'd suggest for getting a question reopened are: 1. Sit and wait, moderation takes place over the course of a day and not within minutes; 2. Open a question on meta requesting it be reopened.

@doppelgreener (I have no idea why it slipped my mind to tell them to ask them on meta. Doh!)

8:28 PM
No harm done

>D&D 5e
Some facts about RAW combat
> You don't need to hold a two handed weapon two handed at all times, you only need both hands when you go to attack with it.
> You get a single object interaction per turn. One of the options is to pick up a weapon at your feet
> Dropping something in your hands is "free". It doesn't interact with any part of your action economy, not even object interaction.

This should mean you can hold a longsword and a polearm in your hands, then a hostile creature could trigger potentially trigger opportunity attacks at both 5ft and 10ft. You drop the weapon you don

@doppelgreener Out of curiosity, is recommending people pop into chat and ask harmful or would we rather just point to those two options?

@0xFFF1 As long as you don't want to take any action using either of your hands during your turn, this works great

@Rubiksmoose Popping into chat is an option, but meta is preferable -- y'all will get the meta post notification anyway. Mainsite gets moderated via meta, not via chat, and raising the topic on meta enables a larger set of the community to get involved.

@doppelgreener Cool cool. Understood.

8:30 PM
Additionally, the longsword can be used without dropping the halberd, by sacrficing the versitile damage die

Not that it's wrong to ask for a question to be examined or reopened on chat, either.
But we should recommend meta above chat.

@0xFFF1 I'm not positive that's true. It isn't your turn, you're just reacting and making a melee attack. If you are holding two 2H weapons, you aren't wielding any that you can actually use when it's time to take your reaction. But I may be wrong.

@doppelgreener Interestingly I ended up in one of the math.se chatrooms (via a flag) that was apparently dedicated to Closing/reopening/etc. I thought that was interesting.

@NautArch should I make it a question?

@SPavel re: mercs: trust wasn't an issue for me for the most part.

8:32 PM
Or really not that interestingly lol

@Rubiksmoose Oh, the CRUDE room? Yeah, they've got some community-specific quality control issues that have necessitated basically starting up a task force that operates out of a chat room.

That was it (couldn't remember if it was that or just CRUD).

It comes in part with being a site about a field of science where people like the guy who defined the Time Cube want to go and proselytise their bogus science, from what I gather.

@0xFFF1 we have is dropping a weapon free but i don't think we have asked if you can do it outside your turn.

Oh man. Yeah I can see how that would be an issue.

8:35 PM
@0xFFF1 although this may be it

@0xFFF1 that's how it works in Dungeons & Dragons & Dark Souls

@doppelgreener I'd never heard of the Time Cube thing before so I looked it up. That crap is WEIRD

@GreySage Have you seen the Time Cube RPG ruleset?
tl;dr the joke is that cube dice roll a number between 1-4

8:41 PM
that question is slightly different

The weirdest thing is that it looks like his whole theory centers around there being 4 days occurring simultaneously. This isn't so much wrong as it is just plain misunderstanding astronomy. Technically there are infinitely many days occurring simultaneously, one for each fraction of a degree around the earth.

@Rubiksmoose perhaps I should ask for my specific situation still, since that question doesn't deal with dropping weapons. and one of them is a ranged weapon which wouldn't have opportunity attacks. What I'm asking is pretty cheesy, so I think I should be extra careful with if it'll work or not

@0xFFF1 If you are asking about cheese you should ask your DM, since they are the one who will actually allow it or not

not even sure if it is cheesy

@GreySage It's very weird. The author has offered a $1,000 bounty to anyone who can disprove their Time Cube theory, but as the science community has generally responded, their Time Cube theory isn't coherent enough to make anything available to be disproven.

8:45 PM
just kinda silly

@doppelgreener The guy passed away a few years ago, I think the whole site was credited to long lasting dementia or something. Very sad.
@doppelgreener A while ago, he was invited to speak at some college, and the students basically mocked him the whole time

@MikeQ That or schizophrenia. May he rest in peace.
@MikeQ oh dear. :( i wonder what they thought would happen.

@doppelgreener I think the Time Cube RPG was made while he was still alive, so it was still kinda funny then

It was, yeah. :P

If you have a map of your setting, dropping a handful of Fate Dice on it is a great way to generate hotspots and opportunities.

m....m players are too good... they managed to make a party to kill some 3000 liters wine with ONE unit of 50 people... and then the smuggler decided "Know what? I steal the bed!"

@Trish ...what?

@GreySage they decided "let's drink this wine barrel" (10 m³ = 10.0000 liters volume filled to a third) and then the smuggler said AFTER I decided that he passed out without his trunks in the bed of the house (an expensive one from mahagoni and ivory) to try to stel it.

Enjoy a magic item I designed for D&D 5e:
Mimir, the talking flask of endless alcohol

Flask of Endless Alcohol
Wondrous item, rare (attunement is optional)
This silver hip flask appears to contain half a pint of some nondescript alcoholic beverage. A creature can use an action to drink up to half a pint of the drink. After resealing the flask, it can refill with more of the same beverage.
As an action, you can pour at least half a pint of any nonmagical alcoholic beverage into the flask and reseal it. Afterwards, the flask can start refilling with more of that same beverage whenever resealed.
