@LPH Twice out of place 1- because when you wrote your comment under mine you did not know I had not downvoted, and I could have, the downvote could have been mine. 2- Because this is up to SO and discussed on Meta umpteen times, e.g., this is an old post since a pop-up has been added to encourage people to leave a comment.

@Laure Thee is in my comment not the least reference to yours, not even the least allusion and I think, even, that the down vote well after Your comment. My coment is totally independent of yours and as I had read it I even noticed to myself that you couldn't be the one to have done. I can't see How You tie the content of my words to yours; that's complete nonsense. If the downvote had been yours there would have been a serious reproach with the question whereas ther was none, merely some advice

@Laure There is no way you can regulate people's conversation as narrowly as you're trying to restrict mine. In the comments you are free to express your opinions and it wont take long before we find numerous comments and suggestions of that sort; this attitude of yours is not tolerable. I won't put up with that.

Comments are not meant to be a place where you are free to express your opinions. The tooltip says “Use comments to ask for more information or to suggest improvements”.

@StéphaneGimenez Si donner une idée sur le système de vote n'est pas suggérer une amélioration sur la question elle-même c'en est toujours une sur le plan de la façon de procéder et de toute façon je ne crois pas que l'on soit si strictement soucieux des menus points de procédure dans ce site du FSE, loin de là.
