2:07 PM
Morning.

Morning

How is?

Tired. Two nights of rough sleep. You?

Two nights of decent sleep after three of poor. I think I finally don't feel sick today. :D
Why rough for you?

Two nights ago, because I'm arachnophobic and my highly skilled spider hunter spotted one hanging out just above my bed, so getting rid of it wound me up.

2:20 PM
@Sarov Noon XD

Last night, because my housemate's doing some dog sitting through the holiday season for extra cash, and the two that came in yesterday are REALLY ANNOYING and kept barking in the middle of the night. So I'm sure my housemates also had lousy sleep last night.
At least my coffee mug is large

Oof.
@Wolgwang MORNING!

Good thing, because the livestream I'm waiting on has been featuring an extremely dull personality. (It's a court stream with commentary for a local trial, thankfully the high energy commentary offsets the low energy judge.)

I prefer to stick purely to mental addictions.

I have a high metabolism for caffeine, so I don't get addicted. It's just enough to kind of help push me into being a little more awake for the morning (plus it's good coffee)

2:27 PM
Can't stand the smell, either, so. No such thing as good coffee imo. :P

Hahhah
I'll admit it was an acquired taste for me
same with matcha (always liked regular tea though)

3:04 PM
Tried to like tea. Can't. Too bitter.

3:28 PM
bitter sounds like it's either bad tea or oversteeped

I'm also just super sensitive to it I think.

4:12 PM
that's also a possibility
I've never really found most of the teas I drink to be bitter, but I try to avoid cheap ones too :) (Except for iced tea, but that gets cold brewed and loaded with sugar so it doesn't end up too bitter or tannic at the end.)

Never heard of tannin before.

it usually shows up more with wines than teas, but it's present in both. It has kind of a bitter taste and leaves a weird feeling on your teeth :)

Oh yeah I think I know what that is. It's why I don't like iced tea. :P

4:31 PM
Most iced teas get hot brewed using really cheap tea leaves (more like "tea powder" tbh, it's very low grade stuff), so there's a lot of tannins. They don't really come out in cold brewing, or if you use better quality tea.

Not sure what I had - I haven't had iced tea in years.

@MetaMoose @Elmy Are you going to wait for some more participation?
