@RebeccaRVT i am not sure what the reason was for him missing teeth he did not have any of the other symptoms.he had lice and fleas intestinal parasites and had lived a hard life,he was very happy to come inside and having a home even if it was just for a year.

@trondhansen Is it possible for cats to develop eye power?

@trondhansen Will you please ask a question on my behalf on main site, "How to make your cat eat fish oil"? I am so busy

@trondhansen yeah like we human wear lenses

@Sonevol there's various ophthalmology treatments for cats.. but the majority have to do with surgery to remove cataracts or ulcers, there's no direct equivalent of glasses/contact lenses that I know of

eye ulcer?? it happens?

@Sonevol yep.. most common is probably a corneal ulcer - typically from a scratch to the surface of the eye that has penetrated the epithelium

and treatable?

@Sonevol generally yes - most shallow ones will heal on their own in a few days, but where it's deeper or has become infected surgery can be required
in those cases they do a graft over the damage to the epithelium - essentially sliding a bit of healthy adjacent cornea over the ulcer to "patch" it

Q: Attempts at stopping nipping - puppy

Eric FWho she is So I will start off with who my dog is. She is a Golden Doodle of 9 weeks old so still very much a puppy. We have had her for about 3 days so I understand that a lot of training will take time but I mostly just want to make sure I am doing things correctly. Background As of last n...

I hadn't read the question yet

@Henders possibly.. obviously I can only speak for myself but I hadn't even opened it - I wasn't in a position to answer (never had a dog) and was unlikely to need any of the information in the answers (no plans to get a dog in the short-medium term)

@Sonevol - Apologies for the delay in responding to your instagram idea. I've spoken to the Community Managers and they've basically said that as long as it's clear that the instagram account is not associated with stack exchange, it will be fine. However, they suggest that we create a question on Meta before we do it so that we all know what to expect of each other before we do it.
@Sonevol - secondly, in reference to your comments about elections, I've additionally requested clarification regarding the process after a moderator leaves. They confirmed that they will ask the existing moderator team whether they feel they need another moderator and if they feel that they do, they'll hold a 'beta election'.

Q: How can I find my cats' secret peeing spot?

OctopusTo sum it up succinctly, I have three cats and when I come home, I notice my house smells of cat urine. I could probably eliminate the odour if I could just figure out where it is emanating from specifically. Apparently, one (and I have a pretty good idea which one it is) of my cats is choosing t...
