[the cat] @!SheepMilk so as I was saying
[the cat] I mean, that doesn't have to be an obstacle lol
[the cat] I didn't know any Vyxal at all for a substantial part of the development process
[SheepMilk] I have a bunch of experience writing languages but I only ever did it in rust
[user] Rust is actually a lot like Scala, except for the fact that it's not
[SheepMilk] My latest language I have a compiler written in rust that crates an ast and the converts it into a javascript ast that can be easily manipulated
[the cat] for context, she's willing to help me move theseus away from a webpack hell of my own creation
[SheepMilk] So you can spit out actually optimized code
[SheepMilk] I exported the whole thing to wasm :3
@Bridget [SheepMilk] vite to the rescue
[the cat] what's that again
[SheepMilk] Webpack but not garbage
[SheepMilk] Basically what every modern framework uses
[SheepMilk] Was crated by the same guy that created vue cause well, existing stuff sucked xd
[the cat] I think I looked at vue during the start of the rewrite and decided it was cursed
[SheepMilk] Ye no vue is truly cursed
[SheepMilk] We ain't touching that lmao
[SheepMilk] I actually write all my stuff in astro
[SheepMilk] With some springled solidjs when I need that occasional reactive island
@Bridget [user] Wait I heard Vue was pretty well liked, what's cursed about it?
[the cat] if given the chance I would like to use next.js because I have experience with it
@Bridget [SheepMilk] For me mostly it becomes an unreadblle mess
[SheepMilk] And there's so many ways to do the same thing
[SheepMilk] Which they say it's a selling point but it's really not
[SheepMilk] There's a lot of design decision that feel "just cause",
[SheepMilk] I don't wanna hate on vue but it's one of those tools I always end up thinking "why should I use this" when there's a lot of more options
[SheepMilk] But ye astro is my go too for everything, I still have to update most of my websites to v5
[SheepMilk] Is that handlebars files?
[the cat] look upon my works, ye milky, and despair
