why?

if ctx.online: stack.append(request(pop(stack, 1, ctx), ctx))

meaning it won't do anything offline

even though it's supposed to be the other way around

My thoughts on scryxal: It would be a huge pain.
The lack of local variables would make recursive parsing & similar extremely annoying. Without first-class functions lazylists (among other things) would be a huge pain, and we'd probably be better off creating some language interpreted in scratch
