Hello?
sup
thanks for your help
right now I really can't do much of fixing since I'm at work, but any question or simple thing I will do it
np... so can you temp change your password to something REALLY simple, just letters and numbers
how can I make that? I'm completely new to Ubuntu/Linux
open terminal
Ctrl+T
type: passwd
done
it asks me for my current password
17:40
enter
ok, type that
then a new SIMPLE one
and confirm
there's the problem
i can't do that since it wont accept my current password
I already tried that
and nop
can't change it in the terminar nor settings
terminal*
17:43
does current password have some exotic characters in it?
nop
its something like this HelloGoodLove
not actual password
but same structure
what keyboard country layout you using?
let me see
ooh maybe that will help
I'm using the English one
ah no
sorry*
its Spanish (Latin American)
which is correct since I'm from Mexico
Settings > Language & Region?
yep
17:47
l, thinking...
sorry if its something tedious :c
but thanks for your time
np... so this was a straight install on HDD/SSD or VM?
I install it via USB
I have another partition with Windows
Also, dunno if it might tell something but each time I enter my session in Ubuntu it greets me with "System error"
tho it still works
ahh!
that could be something
I really don't want to reinstall everything :c

do you have any output from: $ ls -lh /var/crash/
-rw-r----- 1 gdm whoopsie 327K feb 4 09:25 _usr_bin_Xwayland.121.crash
-rw-r----- 1 oscar whoopsie 63M feb 4 10:03 _usr_share_gitkraken_gitkraken.1000.crash
the gitkraken one is because I wanted to increase the "watchers"
and then I experienced this problem
Can you update your question this the command I asked you to run and your output... I'm at the end of my day here, but will investigate more tomorrow. OK?
surely!
thank your very much = )
have a good one
