Would Literature SE be able to do anything with labels on answers?

I don't know how useful it'd be here, for much the same reasons as unpinning accepted answers: this site doesn't see too much obsolescence of answers due to newly published material. A bit, maybe, but not much.
(Both of these network issues are really making me notice differences between SFF and Lit.)

For a question such as "What is the earliest mention in fiction of 'X`?", one might have labels for , , etc, depending on the scope of the answer. That's the only use case I can think of ATM.
By the way, we don't have tags or labels for contributions that were posted as part of a topic challenge.

@Tsundoku More in the spirit of the original SO purpose, there'd also be a use case when someone asks about a book series which is currently in progress. Like , , etc. But I don't think that's very common here.

My answer really needs some updates, though, which I keep forgetting to do. It's several years out of date.
^ the famous Rick Riordan dupe target would be one example

Right, that's not very common.
Or A Song of Ice and Fire. But some people no longer believe progress is to be expected.
(I'm not the only one who doesn't want to buy A Game of Thrones until A Dream of Spring has been published.)
