Q: Any ideas why Dogberry uses malapropisms in Much Ado About Nothing

MunchiesThis is my first post on the Literature Stackexchange so please point out any mistakes. :) Anyways, from Shakespeare's play, 'Much Ado About Nothing', Dogberry consistently uses malapropisms. Could anyone give any creative ideas why he might use it? Does he use it one purpose? What's his intent...

"Chinese novels are always read in bed." Lin Yutang in My Country and My People. Damn, I've doing this all wrong and need to reread every Chinese novel I've read so far.

@GarethRees Maybe they're acceptable for questions about the genre as a whole? Even if we shouldn't go and tag every question about any mystery novel with . Its use on story-ID questions might be a habit imported from Science Fiction & Fantasy (home site for several of our active story-ID users), since on that site (sub)genre tags are considered acceptable only on ID questions.
Which doesn't imply anything about how we should be using it here, of course.

That's the problem when the question/answer just generally is "should they be acceptable?".
