@b_jonas thanks! And thankfully, there is no baby. :-)
@Tsundoku Four out of six. Missed The Bell Jar and The Princess Bride, unsurprisingly, since I've read neither.
@Randal'Thor weren't there a bunch of Westerns like They Call Me Trinity and Trinity Is Still My Name where Clint Eastwood plays the eponymous or titular character
Actually I guess titular, eponymous is backward
(it's the movies that would be eponymous, not the character, if I understand the word correctly)
oh no, that can't be right, we say "eponymous heroine" when talking about the lead character in Austen's Emma, for instance.
h'm
where's my copy of the OED when I need it
@bobble what's the new sense of "too broad"?

@verbose contains multiple questions
"Old sense" was more like "would the answer fill a book"

@Randal'Thor True, and I hesitated about including it. It's also the only one on my list that's set in "our world," and it doesn't follow the standard "farm boy hero" tropes. I ended up putting it in because 1) it's got that feel of "What interesting things can we do with this magic system?" (e.g. Strange giving himself a controlled dose of insanity so he can see fairies), and 2) a friend first recommended it to me around the time I was reading Inheritance.
I was surprised, actually, at how hard it was to decide which books to recommend. Most of my recommendations aren't YA, which feels like a shortcoming; but a lot of the YA fantasy I've read doesn't have quite the same intricacy of worldbuilding as Inheritance.
Hi @user!

Hi
@Randal'Thor Bartimaeus is pretty great. It's been a while since I read it, but I haven't really been able to find any books with the same brand of humor since (although I haven't done much reading in the past few years, so that doesn't mean much)

Q: What is the term for the last word of each line in rhyme/poem? The word that is actually the rhyming one

SarkeIf we take this ABAB stanza, for example: The people along the sand All turn and look one way. They turn their back on the land. They look at the sea all day. It's very easy to spot the words that rhyme (bolded), but is there a specific term for those words?
