And he said: Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, ...

Q: Why is love a "he" to Kahlil Gibran?

Eddie Kal Then said Almitra, Speak to us of Love. And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them. And with a great voice he said: When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword ...

@Tsundoku Do we need a ?

@EddieKal Hi ! Hope you doing well. I would like to have your good advice on this question.
@Syralia Hello

3:55 PM
@NorthLæraðr It's a book. It's not an anthology of fables that were previously publishes separately and I am not aware that the fables in it are read in isolation.
@NorthLæraðr I can't even see any chapter divisions in The Prophet on Wikisource.

@Knight You want my advice on learning German?
@Knight The answer you have received so far under that post is about language learning in general, and I think it seems pretty helpful and pragmatic

@EddieKal I want your advice on how can I have a German environment ?

5:37 PM
@Knight I think surrounding yourself with native German speakers is the best way, but not always realistically doable. I'd say sometimes YouTube is your best bet. But normally you need to have a certain familiarity with the grammar and basic expressions before you find a German-speaking environment helpful

@EddieKal I was the only asker during the topic challenge period :-( but I'll keep on reading and asking/answering, so looking forward to there being two of us!
Which reminds me, time for a new pinned message ...
There are two current ongoing topic challenges: Nick Joaquin and Rabindranath Tagore. Feel free to take part in either of them any time this month!
Btw, @EddieKal, congrats on 1k rep here!
