Q: The limitation of $G$ and loop group $\Omega G$ in Atiyah's and Donaldson's work on Instantons

wonderichIn Atiyah's work [Ref. 1], Atiyah states that "Essentially we shall show (at least for $G$ a classical group and probably for all $G$) that Yang-Mills instantons in 4D can be naturally identified with (i.e. have the same parameter space as) the instantons in 2D for the theory in which the complex...

In that question the tag was removed, later it was created again. Now there are two new questions with the tag:

Q: The Precise Meaning of the Moduli Space of Flat Connections?

wonderichQuestions: I would like to have a precise description of the meanings of the Moduli Space of Flat Connections, such that it is understandable by mathematical physicists and physicists. For 3d Chern-Simons (CS) theory, I suppose that the following is an interpretation. the Moduli Space of Flat ...

Q: Nonlinear sigma models with non-compact groups / target spaces

wonderichA nonlinear σ model (NLSM) describes a scalar field Σ which takes on values in a nonlinear manifold called the target manifold T. The target manifold T is equipped with a Riemannian metric g. Σ is a differentiable map from Minkowski space M (or some other space) to T. The Lagrangian density i...

@ArunDebray I see you have suggested the synonym (qft) $\to$ (quantum-field-theory). Perhaps mentioning this synonym also in the designated thread on meta might attract more users who can vote on (I am aware that this is not related to the topic of the question - but since this was the question where the (qft) tag was created, it seemed like a reasonable place to mention this. If needed, we can continue this discussion in chat.) — Martin Sleziak 35 secs ago

Q: Help improve tagging!

François G. DoraisPlease help by writing tag wikis for your favorite tags! Use answers to this post to suggest tag synonyms. Finally, if you're a 10k+ user, note how easy it is for you to edit tags now!

I have just added link to the text in Alternative characterization of epi-convergence. (I have included: "Chapter 7, page 241".)
Is there way to find out whether the text is freely available at link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-642-02431-3_7 link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007%2F978-3-642-02431-3_7.pdf or whether I am simply lucky enough that my employer has this as a part of their subscription?

@MartinSleziak ok, I'll make a post there. I didn't know that was the proper protocol for tag synonyms
Thank you for letting me know about it!
@MartinSleziak neither of those texts is freely available at home for me

@ArunDebray Well, you did nothing wrong, the only thing is that many users do not even know that there is a place where to vote for synonyms.
So posting on meta make more users notice that there is synonym suggestion.
Moreover, only users with score at least 5 in the master tag can vote - which is a limited pool. It's possible that if the suggestion receives enough upvotes on meta, one of the mods approves the synonym. (For voting on meta there is no such restriction.)
Thanks for letting me know about the text. In that case it is good that I have also included link to the Google Books. (Also it shows some improvements regarding what is accessible from our university.)

@ToddTrimble If I may ask about tagging, I've sen you have recently bumped the post: How to locate an obscure paper? Would perhaps adding the tag to this post be suitable.
The OP writes that: " I am more interested in the process. How does a researcher go about locating such things?" So the actual request is not the main point of that post.
OTOH having some suggestion how to look for papers in general is useful and having the tag there might make find this specific post easier. (In case somebody posts a paper request and some other user would like to link to the post about general tips for finding paper - than the possibility of finding this post quickly is an advantage.
As a side note, I have posted a question on meta related to the reason why that post was actually bumped - I was considering making a post about it, but as I saw that there is already some action taken on such posts, it prompted me to post it now. (I will see, maybe I'll also use the email for the mod team for the first time - to add a bit more information which I did not want to include on meta.)
In any case, I am pretty sure the mods will notice the new meta question in the moderator inbox.
