It is now one year since there was 1000 questions with deprecated tags: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/10243/2017/8/25 So it might be useful to check how the number of such questions has changed.
You can compare this with counts posted in this chatroom on June 2, May 1, November 5, August 11.
There are 884 questions with deprecated tags.
Here is breakdown by tags:
abstract-algebra has 314 questions, 178 after removing most common algebra-related tags and 99 with no top-level tags at all.
geometry has 397 questions, 246 questions without frequent geometry-related tags, 147 questions with no top-level tags.
discrete-mathematics has 174 questions, 86 without co.combinatorics and 47 with no top-level tags.
There are 74153 questions having at least on top-level tag and 95342 questions total. (So about 22% of all questions have no top-level tag.)
I hope I haven't made some mistake in the counts listed above.
