Hi @quid, sorry for pinging you, but I'd like to ask you something: Do you think it would be too spammy to leave a note in form of a meta post when we are bringing the higher-level (graduate upward) physics site I mentioned here giving the link to interested people?

From reading posts in the physics relevant tags on MO, I got the impression that here are some people slightly interested in theoretical physics too. Anyway, we still need some time before going publicly online.

Hi @Dilaton. We had such announcements for some other sites. I would not recall it ever being perceived as a problem. Only I'd avoid to bring up too much negative history related to the old site and alike in the proces.

So it will at most be a very short announcement containing a link to the new physics site itself (if anything) without mentioning any other websites etc ... :-)
