Q: Reference for the positive probability of convergence to a stable point of a stochastic approximation algorithm

PeterConsider a stochastic approximation process with $$x_{t+1} = x_t + \frac{1}{t} (g(x_t)+u_t)$$ where $(u_s)_s$ is a sequence of i.i.d. shocks. Assume $g$ is Lipschitz, $u_t$ has finite variance, and that $(x_s)_s$ is bounded with probability one. Furthermore, assume that $$ C = \{ x \in \mathbb...

Q: Find a Diophantine equation which represents the abc conjecture

HelenaThe Davis-Putnam-Robinson-Matiyasevich theorem is: Diophantine is equivalent to listable This result has some known applications: (1) Prime-producing polynomials. (2) Diophantine statement of the Riemann hypothesis. The abc conjecture asserts that whenever $a,b,c$ are pairwise coprime positi...

@DavidRoberts I see that you have created a new tag about a month ago: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/10243/2019/12/12
The tags which only have only a single question are automatically removed after 6 months, unless they have a tag-wiki.
So if you think that this tag might be useful, perhaps you might consider also creating the tag-info. (Additionally, it would also clarify what is the intended purpose of the tag.)
Although it's quite probable that I'm telling you things that you already know.
