@JohnRennie hi

@JackRod Hi :-)

8:48 AM
sir how does joule free expansion is defined
@JohnRennie
like am I supplying constant heat to it and allow the slid of container to slide?

I can't remember the exact definition, but the idea is that as the gas molecules expand away from the nozzle they move in straight lines without colliding so they do no work.
The result is that the temperature of an ideal gas doesn't change in a Joule expansion.

ok there are two containers one with gas and other empty like this?
@JohnRennie

This is the diagram from Wikipedia.
The Joule expansion (also called free expansion) is an irreversible process in thermodynamics in which a volume of gas is kept in one side of a thermally isolated container (via a small partition), with the other side of the container being evacuated. The partition between the two parts of the container is then opened, and the gas fills the whole container. The Joule expansion, treated as a thought experiment involving ideal gases, is a useful exercise in classical thermodynamics. It provides a convenient example for calculating changes in thermodynamic quantities, including the resulting increase...

@JohnRennie sir there is been derivation given in my book related to cp and cv
and how he defined the internal energy dependence on temperature
pressure and volume
and I agree with it, but how do I write a differential equation defining the state of internal energy using all this paramenter together
what they(book) have written is clearly a bouncer they took quantity like pressure and volume and check the change in internal energy of the system
