5:40 AM
@JohnRennie hi

@yuvrajsingh hi :-)

Morning. :)

6 hours later…
11:15 AM
@JohnRennie hi

11:42 AM
@JohnRennie hi

@yuvrajsingh hi

Tomorrow I have exam, but I am scared. @JohnRennie

@yuvrajsingh how can I help?

Thing, s is, I do not know whether it good to say it or not. But I have facing the problem of incident during the vacation.

It's going to be hard because I'm guessing you find it hard to cencentrate at the moment.

11:46 AM
I am continously studying from last 15 days for the exam, I think I completed the whole syllabus, but exam anxiety trigger the incident memories.
@JohnRennie

I wish I had a great solution for you, but I don't.
With post traumatic stress you just have to let it go away in its own time.

Can you give some advice so that it doesn't, t spoil my exam. @JohnRennie

I can understand why worrying about the exam would bring back unpleasant thoughts of the incident, and unfortunately I don't think there's a lot you can do about.
In the UK I'd say you should speak to a counsellor. I don't know if they exist at your college.

Seriously I just awake from last 15 days for exam, but as the date is approaching I am getting more and more nervous.
Yes there is a counselor at our college.

Is there anyone you can talk to? In person I mean rather than Internet chat.
That's what the counsellors are there for. That's what they're paid to do.
Even if the counsellor just sits there and listens it will still be good to talk to them and say what happened and why you're worried.
Just talking about things makes them easier to deal with.

11:51 AM
Since the exam time is on, most of the students are indulge in library studying continously day and night.

I guess that sort of stress is hard even when you aren't traumatised, but really really hard when you've been through an experience like yours.

I ask a doctor at the campus, he said it is fine and it will go away with time. @JohnRennie

He's right. It will go away with time, but of course you have the exam now and there isn't the time before the exam.
I'm a bit reluctant to tell you what to do because I'm not an expert on PTSD but I'd guess talking to the counsellor will help.

But I am able to cover it, I am scared because I work hard for exam, I do not want to spoil my paper, anything can I do so that I again create focus on my exam.

What you need to do is relax, but it's easy for me to say that and hard for you to do.
I would guess that trying to suppress your memories of the incident isn't a good idea and that talking about it would be better.

11:58 AM
What happened? @yuvrajsingh

@JohnRennie I can, t explain, I think John rennie be better do. It.

Talking about it will help, my friend :-)

@skullpetrol Yuvraj ran into some dacoits on the trip back to his village and came pretty close to not being here.

Wow!

@skullpetrol yes!
That's the sort of experience you hope never to have.
And it's pretty hard to concentrate on exams when your nerves are still jangling.

12:03 PM
What I doing is study, that, s what I can do. If the thoughts I have no way, just to take it. @JohnRennie

The problem is that the thoughts aren't logical. You know you're safe at college now, but still the thoughts come even though you know they shouldn't.

Yes.

That's the way PTSD works. It affects everyone this way.
Would it help to take 5 minutes when it gets too bad and try to relax. Meditate maybe? Just for 5 minutes to try and take the worst off the thoughts?

Yes, I think that it will work.
@JohnRennie a request.

Yes of course

12:09 PM
, tommorow before I am going to give exam can I talk to you.

Yes, what time (Indian time) do you want to talk?

14:00 Indian time is 08:30 UK time.

Will be there around 11 o clock.

Yes, 11:00 is 05:30 UK time and I will be here.

12:11 PM
Thanks, I have one request more.
@JohnRennie

Yes?

Can you answer my astronomy answer today, please,.
It takes only 5 to 10 min. Please. Sir.

OK, I'll look at it now.

Sir John Rennie is giving excellent advice. My advice would be that surviving such a close call with death at this point is a sign from God that you should try your best to concentrate on this exam. Count your blessings my friend.

Aah, thank you.
@skull petrol thanks brother, that, s why I am here, rather than talking to stupid people.
